Theodora went into her mother's room, where she was laying in a bed like every day. Theodora had never seen her mother so calm and resting for such a long time in her life.
She used to joke that one day she would tie her down to the bed if she didn't stop working. Little did she know that one day her mother would be tied to the bed only to not wake up at her command.
Theodora sat on the chair beside the bed. She stared at her mother, running her pale hands on her forehead.
"Mother, today was the most unexpected and thrilling day of my life! I... I don't have any words to describe to you what things I have experienced today.
This world... outside the walls of this mansion... it is so mysterious, beautiful, awe-strucking and... unpredictable mother. Sitting in our chambers, we think we have the whole world at our feet because of the money but no mother.
