Chapter 31 - The fight begins (part 3)

MC POV

Keikaku doori, I thought as I saw him jump after releasing his sharingan.

"Now!" I yelled and an ice dome covered Kakashi almost completely. That would have been difficult if he hadn't been in the air, but as he jumped... I could only smile slightly as I analyzed all the information with my Kotei No Me. He was surprised by Haku's attack. Ice release was a rarity after all Yuki clan members were obliterated in kirigakure...maybe a few survivors were still living in the snowland, but that was it. Ice release was a rare commodity. Ryu could see the surprise on Kakashi's face quickly turning into impassivity, as expected of him, a jounin, but that's what I didn't want. Kakashi recovered very quickly and even my calculation skills still needed time... I strained my mind even more.

His muscles are tense from the cold. He won't be able to move efficiently. Haku was good at what he did and after I hinted at absolute zero he became even scarier with his ice release. At that moment, Kakashi's chakra should be working doubled to maintain his sharingan while keeping his body from freezing completely. In that moment, I knew what to do.

'Katon: Aoi Hi no jutsu' I thought as I made the hand signals quickly and launched the jutsu towards the man in the air. Only in hell will I scream my jutsu out loud and let everyone know what the best method of countering the jutsu would be at the same time as these idiot ninjas. If anything, I would scream opposite jutsus from what I threw.

A blue flame came out of my mouth and raced skyward to the man trying to move away from the ice. I could see him trying to use kawarimi, but my flames interrupted his jutsu making him focus on protecting himself... I could see his eyes opening as he felt the heat of my flame approaching his body and saw when he used signs of hand to contain my flame.

"Suiton: Mizuryuu no jutsu." He launched a water dragon towards my flame, but the water quickly evaporated on contact making the air even hotter and harder for him to think about anything but self-protection. Aoi Hi was, as the name said, blue flame. It was a bloodline imitation jutsu that fuses fire with wind, specifically the oxygen found in wind. I made my chakra acquire the characteristics of oxygen and used Katon: goukakyu no jutsu as the basis for this specific jutsu. I only needed to see the bastard Uchiha throw the jutsu once to record the necessary hand signals and voila, I had a personal, self-created jutsu. Anyway, Kakashi was in trouble now. Only 1 second had passed since he jumped, but now he was surrounded by scorching steam and the blue fire was approaching him faster and faster.

Gravity would start pulling his body in a few more seconds, maybe he's already starting to fall towards my attack. I needed more contingencies now.

"Haku, cover all sides with an ice ball! Attach it to a floating ice orb for now!" I urgently asked my shinkki to which he replied as he started using his hand signals:

"Yes, Ryu-Sama."

In almost no time, all of Kakashi was isolated. My blue flame must have reached his body by now. I wasn't fooled into thinking he lost it, but the chakra drain must be considerable. Other than that, Haku's ice orb would be very difficult to break and he'd have to expend even more chakra. Thanks to Haku sealing his escape routes it also prevented the bastard from using the replacement jutsu, but it still wouldn't be enough.

"Haku, openings. Okay." I told my shinkki who nodded and worked his magic with hand signals, opening thousands of small circles in the ice orb.

"Hyoton: Aisusutingā no jutsu." Haku released his self created jutsu. It consisted of thousands of remotely controlled ice needles, almost like King's Chastiefol's rising form which he controls as a part of his body, to attack. That added to the ice orb filled with tiny openings just big enough for these needles to pass through, one could imagine how deadly such an ability becomes, right?

The needles flew towards the orb, entering it at high speed. I could see Kakashi dodging the needles with every skill he possessed, but so far, the needles weren't being sent intermittently, but at the same time all the openings threw thousands of needles towards him, preventing any chance of pausing the attack. Yet it took only 16 seconds for Kakashi to free himself from the icy shackles and fend off every needle with fire jutsu he knew... Damn jounin, but now, with all the tension of the fight, his body was suffering from the thermal shock from the sudden fallof temperature, followed by a sudden rise in temperature plus the attacks and chakra expenditures with the borrowed sharingan... it was time, finally. Not only was he exhausted with near-chakra depletion, but his body was bruised and fatigued. After leaving the floating ice orb, he fell to earth a few meters close to me and Kimimaru. His unopened posture suggested unusual seriousness. His eyes stopped laughing and that cheered me up. I looked at young Kaguya and he nodded before fleeing away. It was my turn now!

The silver haired man was confused by my partner's escape, but I didn't give him time to consider the implications of that.

"KOTEI NO ME!" I screamed when activating my doujutsu's suppression ability. Suddenly a wave of mental energy came out of me and covered an area whose minimum diameter was 60 feet around me. In this space... this was my domain. The domain of an emperor. A domain of a god. Unfortunately, I didn't just affect the Kakashi just freed from his bonds. Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Yamato were within the coverage area. It made my suppression shared with the five and allowed the silver haired bastard to resist hard. The good part was that it was still more than enough time for me.

"KOUKI!" I called my katana-shaped shinkki and it glowed before manifesting in my hands. "I need you to set a limit, Kouki." I called in a tense voice filled with the desire to battle.

{As you wish, young master.} The sword flashed several times as my servant prepared and I only increased the tension within the domain even more.

"I, Ryu, will not allow myself to lose, Ossan." I stared at Kakashi with hungry eyes. "Kakashi, get ready. I've never used this on anyone before and I don't think it's going to be good for you." Don't think too much of me here. This wasn't the pathetic speech of an anime villain, but a distraction. This technique took a lot of my physical and mental energy (not chakra, but separate ki and prana). I needed time to prepare the technique. "Saisho no hōhō: Seiten no katto (First form: Clear sky cut)" a beam of pure, unaltered sword energy was launched towards the young one-eyed man and sliced his body in half before disappearing and I sheathed my katana.

I turned my eyes off and started to feel dizzy. Using all my skills like this was heavy for this current body. Intense taijutsu fights, plus the modified blue fire jutsu which was too costly for my chakra. I felt almost at the end of my strength.

"Are you finished?" Kakashi asked confusedly looking at me putting away my weapon. He had sensed my condition, of course, but he still didn't understand. I had thrown a sword ki blade towards him and he was clearly hit by it. I knew what he was thinking. How was he alive, right? But it wasn't a mystery. Yato had used something similar when Hyori was being restrained by Rabo.

"The mission was to collect the bells. The mission has been completed." I pointed by pointing at Haku, currently holding Kakashi's two bells in his hands.

"Like? That? The sword thrust? But how?"

"A swordsman cuts only what he wants to cut, Kakashi. I am a swordsman." I spoke with pride. "My sword doesn't hurt if I don't want it…of course, if I hadn't wanted to cut just the rope that connected the bells to your body, you would be torn in two by now. In any case, a genin has just killed you using sword techniques from a family of samurai... it must be frustrating, isn't it?" I asked before falling to the ground unconscious.
