Part 0: Beginning of the end.
Arc 1: The New Reapers.
(It is now Saturday, the day before Sam and Isabel's date. Sam, Able, and Carter are all sitting outside the eating hall.)
Able: So, you're telling me you got a date?!
Sam: Well no, it's- it's not a date.
Carter: Dude, you're planning on taking her to a restaurant, it's a date.
Sam: I guess it is then, ha-ha... what will I do? I got no experience. That's why I'm asking you!
Able: Don't ask me! I sleep next to a body pillow for peep's sake. (He points to Carter.) Ask him!
(Centy: If I may interfere, tell him to ask her how much she weighs and how tall she is.)
Carter: *Under his breath.* He is NOT eating her, you dumb fuck!
Sam: Who are you talking to?
Carter: No one. I lived most of my life on the road, town to town, sleeping underneath underpasses and hoping not to get abducted by passing cars, so much like Able, you are asking the wrong man.
Sam: (He stands up.) *Sigh* Guess I'll go ask Kane.
Able: For the love of fuck, do not ask Kane!!
Sam: Why?
Able: Might I remind you that he is the man who once had 14 breakups in a single year?
Carter: How did he even manage that?
Able: I really wish I knew.
(Erik walks over to Sam.)
Sam: Oh... hey!
Erik: There you are! Come on! We gotta get you a nice outfit man!
(Erik drags Sam along with him to the town.)
Able: Hey, Carter. I can trust you, right?
Carter: If you really want to.
Able: I'm not here to train for the monster hunting business.
Carter: Then why?
Able: Asmodeus... and my big brother.
(Meanwhile, in the sleeping quarters, Isabel is burying her face into her pillow, trying to cover her screams.)
Isabel: Ahh, what am I going to do? I have NO experience when it comes to dating!!!
Gabriela Haves: (She is sitting on the bed across from Isabel, her hair is a beautiful raven black with mud brown eyes. She looks around the age of 19, with an average build, and height of 5'6ft. (170cm). She speaks in a soft, laid-back tone, she seems to not worry about anything and truly knows how to relax... unlike.... yours truly... *cough* anyways.) Oh, don't be silly, surely you must know a thing or two about boys.
Isabel: Nope, my parents were setting me up for an arranged marriage. It was going to be with one of their client's sons or something, I don't really know.
Gabriela: Well, even if you seem uncertain. (She stands up and grabs Isabel's hand.) Let's go into town with some of the girls and pick up something that will have him drooling for you.
(30 minutes later. Sam and Erik are in a clothing store.)
Erik: (Bending down to choose a size for the shirt.) So... what size of shirt do you wear?
Sam: Small. I have a question.
Erik: Shoot.
Sam: Why are you pushing on me and Isabel so hard?
Erik: I guess it's just... (His mind wanders for a while.) ... ... ... ... ... ... ... (He snaps back.) you hate to see young love become nothing.
Sam: If you say so.
Erik: (He stands up and hands Sam the clothes.) Try them on.
(Sam comes out of the changing room, wearing a neat button-up white shirt with the collar lifted up, tucked neatly into a pair of blue jeans, accompanied by black shoes and a watch on his left hand.)
Sam: And...? How do I look?
Erik: Straighten out that back and stop looking so tense. (He folds the shirt collar, and tightens the watch.) Now you look quite... dapper, do people still say that?
Sam: I don't think so, what about you? (He goes back into the changing room, to take off the clothes.) Whenever I see you wearing casual clothing, no matter the weather, you're always wearing that coat.
Erik: Oh this, yeah, it was a gift from my father. I wanted to become a marine biologist just like him. What did you want to be?
Sam: (He walks out of the changing room, carrying the clothes.) I wanted to be a... a meteorologist, a storm chaser.
Erik: As in a tornado hunter?
Sam: Yeah, I love tornadoes and hurricanes.
Erik: (He places the clothes on the counter as he pays for them.) Oh, nice. Maybe someday you can still go chasing them when we're done here.
Sam: Maybe.
(Across the street, in a book store, by the window facing the clothing store sits Origami, with a pair of binoculars and a notebook on the table. Kelly walks into the book store, and searching for a particular book, when he sees Origami spying on Sam.)
Kelly: Hey what are you-
Origami: Shush. Sit next to me.
Kelly: (He points at the book rack.) I'm just uhh, here for a book.
Origami: (She turns her head to Kelly.) SIT.
Kelly: Yes, ma'am. (He awkwardly sits next to Origami.) So...?
Origami: (She hands Kelly the binoculars.) Look.
Kelly: (He looks at Sam and Erik just buying a snack from a vendor.) It's just Sam and Erik.
Origami: I know, but look at Erik whenever he glances at Sam. It looks suspicious, doesn't it?
Kelly: No, it just looks like a smile to me.
Origami: It's more than that, he can barely keep eye contact, he's hiding that blush. I noticed before he met Sam, that he never had a smile on his face, but whenever he's around him... oh he can't help but move those face muscles. (She hands Kelly the notebook.) Read this.
Kelly: Why are the words so big-oh-(He takes away the binoculars.) "Top suspects, number one, Erik. Number two, Isabel. Number three, Jericho. All have shown some or other form of intense affection to Sam." Alrighhhhttt... but why is Erik in the first place? (A grin grows on Origami's face, as her mind dazes off to a fantasy.) Hey, uhh, Origami? Ori? Why- why is your nose bleeding? (He snaps his fingers in front of her face.) Origami!
(Anderson walks down the path of a forest, as the orange autumn leaves fall all around him. He has his hands in his pockets and is looking down to the ground. He reaches a small clearing, with a fountain flowing in the middle of it, he picks up a maple leaf drifting in the fountain's pond.)
("Always did fancy collecting leaves didn't you?")
Anderson: Lancelot. (He turns around and sees a man in a wheelchair being pushed towards the clearing.) Been a while.
Lancelot: (He has blonde-gray hair tied into a bun, with stubble growing. He is wearing a neat black suit, and A woman is pushing the wheelchair he is sitting in.) Yes, it has, Anderson. Have you met my new assistant yet?
Anderson: I haven't.
Lancelot: Introduce yourself, Kara.
Karen Frieda: (She has light brown eyes, with blonde hair, falling down to her shoulders. She is wearing a black suit, similar to Lancelot's, however, her suit jacket is completely buttoned up.) My name is Karen Frieda, but you may call me Kara, nice to meet you.
Anderson: Anderson Redfield, mind telling me why we chose to meet here?
Lancelot: How are the Pendragon brothers doing?
Anderson: Fine, I guess, their training is going slow but steady, same with the Reapers.
Lancelot: Huh, and what colorful cast of characters do you have this time?
Anderson: A few idiots here and there, a smart-ass, and Samuel Reyes.
Lancelot: That Samuel Reyes?
Anderson: The one adopted by the Pendragons, yes. The Court's taken an interest in him for some reason, can't say I blame them, four days of training and he's already outclassing some of the others.
Lancelot: Interesting, you should tell me about his progress, he and my daughter had... something going on there.
Anderson: So are you here for something important, or did you just want to have a chat in real life instead of on the phone?
Lancelot: I'm going to die, Anderson.
Anderson: Aren't we all?
Lancelot: Ha, yes. Do you remember when I and Arthur fought Wrath, Pride, and Sloth?
Anderson: The day that little Kane saw his father die, yes.
Lancelot: Well, I got out alive after they completed their mission. Arthur separated Wrath's soul from his vessel and the others retreated, leaving only three of the sins standing. That day Pride struck me in the back with his sword, putting me in this little wheelchair here. It didn't end there... the damage was both physical and magical. He cut a tear in my Magica body and now... that tear has started opening.
Anderson: Which means that all your Magica will drift out, no matter how much Magica you gather, it will always leak out.
Lancelot: Correct. They gave me four to five years until it's all gone. This means in the meantime, I should start thinking of someone to be my successor, and guess who's number one on the list?
Anderson: I would say me, but knowing you, ha! You'd fuck with me.
Lancelot: You'd be correct, it's you. Let's go, Kara. (He gets turned around.) Think about it, Anderson.
(As the sun starts setting over the horizon. Sam and Erik sit on the stairs overlooking the beach and the sunset with it.)
Erik: Alright! Favorite movie of all time, go!
Sam: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly! You!
Erik: Does Spongebob count?
Sam: If you mean the movie, then yes.
Erik: Guess it's Spongebob then.
Sam: *Wheeze* (He takes a sip of his drink.) Hey Erik, mind if I ask you a question?
Erik: I've been asking you a bunch of questions, so you can go.
Sam: Back in the clothes store, you took a big pause, what happened?
Erik: I was just... thinking back. Something that happened years ago. (He takes a sip of his drink.) But ahh, that happened years ago.
Sam: The things that happened long ago are normally the hardest to forget about. If something happened yesterday, you could maybe try to change it. If something happened decades ago, you can only change yourself.
Erik: You're pretty wise for a kid your age.
Sam: And you're pretty young to be calling me a kid.
Erik: Ha! You got me. (He looks down to the ground and raises his head up, he looks at Sam and it reminds him of someone he once knew.) Favorite musical artist?!
Sam: Blue Oyster Cult! Yours?!
Erik: Ween.
Sam: I knew it!!! Favorite superhero?!
Erik: Aquaman!
Sam: Double knew it! Wolverine!!!
(Their questions continue on, as they sit on the stairs, and eventually walk back to the training grounds. The morning seems to come faster than expected, and the atmosphere in the town is quiet, as it always is on a Sunday. Sam and Isabel are both preparing for the date.)
Sam: (Combing his hair.) No matter what.
Isabel: (Putting on her shoes.) No matter how hard it is.
Sam: (He folds the collar of his shirt.) I will.
Isabel: (She puts on her makeup.) I will.
Sam/Isabel: (They both look determined in the mirror.) Make her/him fall for me!!!
(Sam walks out of the building, and sees Erik stand in front of him.)
Erik: You look determined for everything. (He hands Sam some cash.) This should be enough, if you run out, tell them to put it on Erik's Tab.
Sam: Thanks.
Erik: Now go! A gentleman shouldn't leave a woman waiting.
(Sam runs off to the town.)
(Angelo watches as Sam runs into the forest, a bastard of a grin grows on his face.)
Angelo: All according to plan. All of you better stick to it.
(Later, Sam is sitting in front of the restaurant. When he notices two cloaked figures walk past him. One of the figures turns to look at Sam as if he recognizes him, but the other one pushes him forwards.)
("Sorry if I kept you waiting!")
(Sam looks to his right and sees Isabel, wearing a beautiful white dress, with a brown sun hat, and high heels. Her hair falls all the way down to her chest, and she looks away from him, out of shyness. She carries her bag in front of her in her hands.)
Sam: Isabel... you... look... AMAZING!
Isabel: Oh thank you!!!! You- you do too!
Sam: (He reaches his hand out to her.) Shall we begin, our date?
Isabel: Yes let us.
(Isabel grabs his hand and they walk into the restaurant.)
(Meanwhile, in the training grounds, Kane is standing in front of the door to Angelo's room. He looks around for a few seconds before lockpicking the door. He opens the door, and turns on the light, to see a massive board in the middle of the room, with pictures of the town and the underground train system to escape from it.)
Kane: What is-... (To the right of the board are pictures of the two cloaked figures. To the bottom is the man from the cliff, "The Dusk Walker." A phantom that's been hunting Reapers all around the world. "Aragoto Gogo, an undead Samurai who once defeated a great demon by banishing him back to hell." And in the dead center... the Seven Deadly Sins and their vessels, with a circle around Sam. They're going to unleash hell hounds into the dead center of the town, the Dusk Walker is going to ambush the underground train, the Cloaked men are taking out the Pendragon Brothers, and Angelo is only here for Sam.) My god!!! (He runs out of the building as fast as he can. And grabs Erik by the shoulders when he sees him.) Where's Sam?!!!!!
Erik: He's going on a date with Isabel in town, at the restaurant. Why?!!!
Kane: Tell Anderson and Suzuki to check out Angelo's room, that son of a bitch is planning an assault on the town!!! GOOOO!!!!
(Erik runs off to Anderson's office. Kane takes a weapon bag out of the trunk of his car and puts it in the passenger seat. He slams the door shut and starts the engine, speeding off through the forest.)
Kane: Hold on, Sam!!!
