Prologue
The country of Highdal is special, it was conquered by the San Balanos Empire long ago yet the empire stays far away from any of the people of the country. There is only one city in Highdal, with everything else destroyed in the war. Not just the citys, but the people, animals, and every single piece of the environment was also destroyed, burned to ashes.
That day where everything changed, the skies were buckling with dark banks of clouds of ash, the air was thick and the people on the ground hacked and coughed. The people could not tell what was happening, but they could see a woman standing in the sky. A sight that all would see as their last.
The people who lived were people who had Phantasms, a unique power that was individual to the humans, and people who could use magic, the demi-humans. At the end of it all out of the millions of people who once lived in the country only a couple tens of thousands remained.
A group of men stood on the edge of a small town. They looked at the ash wasteland that surrounded the entire town. They each wore magicians robes that had a crimson red crest painted onto it, one of the men removed his hood revealing his long silver hair and kneeled down to feel the ashes that covered the floor.
"How could this have happened?" As he spoke the silver haired man's voice shook in horror. Another one of the men behind him rested their hand on his shoulder. He didn't speak, but the pain they shared could be felt through the contact. The group of elite soldiers were on a mission and had stopped in the small town to rest, they had protected the town, but they could do nothing else.
"Falgar… what do we do now?" One of the soldiers asked.
Falgar stood up from being on his knees and turned to face the other five soldiers he had with him. He ran his hand through his long silver hair, he didn't really know what to say. The entirety of the area around them was ash and they could only assume the rest of the country was the same.
"We...we should take care of the villagers here, but two of you should go see if you can find any other cities around here." Falgar's voice wavered, but he pushed his confidence forward through his voice.
Years passed and no other cities were left standing. Only small demi-humans villages remained and so Falgar began rebuilding as the new leader of Highdal. Creating what is now known as the Dome.
