Chao Li climbed down the life mountain and stepped onto the land filled with dense Life Qi.
Everything around, the trees, land, air, water, and everything were filled with Life Qi, and Chao Li felt like he returned to his mother. "What a strong Life Qi!" He amused.
Maybe only Chao Li could see that Life Qi as he was practicing Samsara Scripture, and except for him, no one could see that Qi.
Around him was a large, thick green forest, and he didn't know where to go. Even Little Yun also became a lifeless imprint when he stepped onto Life Mountain, so he couldn't ask it for directions.
So he summoned Book Of Samsara and opened its first page, which had a map to Karmic Net Of overarching Cosmos. When he opened it, he got a picture of the entire Mortal Land, and in between the Mortal Land, there was a River, River Of Samsara.
On that River, Chao Li saw a blinking dot, which meant Karmic Net was on that River. But to reach there, he had to cross a large open land, which might be the place where all the people would live.
"Is it the Life Village!" Chao Li mused. Before coming here, he read information about Mortal Land, and according to those records, there were two villages in Mortal Land, Life Village, and Death Village.
Life Village is the place where everyone would be born and grow. In there, everyone would live as a mortal. There would be joy and sorrow, good and evil, pleasure and pain, ups and downs, and everything. Life Village was a replicate of the human life cycle.
Life Village had one uniqueness, and that was no one had ever died in that village; it was a land of No Death. Even if the Death God arrived at Life Village, he couldn't reap the life of a person in there.
Death Village was opposite to Life Village; everyone would be born in Life Village, whereas everyone would die in Death Village.
When a person lived a complete life in Life Village, he would feel his death was coming, and at that time, he would cross the River Of Samsara and reach Death Village to wait for his death.
While crossing the River of Samsara, a person would recollect his entire life and then be free from his mortal shackles. After that, he wouldn't care about his life anymore, and all he would do was, wait for his death to arrive.
Like elsewhere, no one would be afraid of death in Death Village, but instead, they would welcome death with open arms. Death was common in there, so it was called the Land of Death.
Chao Li wasn't going to stay at Life Village, and he didn't have much to do there because he had lived for thousands of lives, so he wasn't interested in experiencing life anymore. He wasn't even interested in Death Village, as he had faced death so many times.
All he wanted was to go to the River of Samsara and get Karmic Net Of Overarching Cosmos.
He slowly reached Life Village, and when he arrived, he felt he was back to his previous lives. Everywhere was filled with a mixture of different people. Everyone was bustling to and fro, and even though it was named a village, even the magnificent and richest cities would pale in comparison to it.
That place was structured magnificently and filled with organized roads, buildings, stalls, houses, and other well-built constructions.
As Chao Li walked on the road, he saw many stalls of different varieties, and most of the salespeople of those stalls even tried to pull Chao Li to their stalls with their honeyed words. But Chao Li wasn't interested in any of that, so he walked away.
As he was moving, he heard loud words, "Come here! Come here! Great Divine Sage is here to solve our problems. There is nothing he can't do."
"He can see your past, present, and future. He is all seer."
A youth was loudly calling, people walking over by, and near him, there was some small stall, and in there, there was an Old Man in white robes. He calmly seated on a meditating mat and closed his eyes, and around him, there were a group of people waiting for fortune-telling.
Chao Li's interest was slightly piqued, but not with fortune-telling, with the fortune teller. His institution told him that that fortune teller was something unique, unlike the mortals.
Chao Li's spirit power wasn't restricted, so he could feel something was different with the fortune teller. He decided to visit him to know about him.
He was about to enter the stall, but the youth who was calling had stopped him and said, "Hundred Gold Coins, for the entry."
"Humm!" Chao Li frowned as he didn't have any gold coins on him. But he remembered having mortal gold of Planet Xiao, so he suspiciously took a gold coin of Planet Xiao and asked, "Is it accepted?"
That youth skeptically looked at the coin in Chao Li's hand and then said, "Everything made of gold is accepted."
"That's good!" Chao Li said and immediately took hundred gold coins from the Book Of Samsara. After handing those over to the youth, the youth let Chao Li in.
Chao Li slowly went in and waited for some time, and after some time, that fortune teller opened his eyes and calmly looked around,
He looked at the people around him and gently said, "As you know, in a day, I will only tell three people's fate."
When the people around him heard his words, no one complained a bit but anxiously waited for him to select them.
That fortune-teller slowly looked over the people, and while pointing to a person, said, "You!" "And You!"
He quickly selected two people, and when about to select the third person, his vision went to Chao Li's side, and when he saw Chao Li, he slightly frowned and doubtfully said, "You also!"
"Remaining people can leave now and come tomorrow." Everyone disappointedly left the stall, and after that, that person said little fate of the first two people, and then, those two had also left.
After that, only that person and Chao Li had left on the hall, and that person interestingly looked at Chao Li and asked, "Young Man, are you new to this Mortal Land?"
"Yes! Senior, I just came to Mortal Land today itself." Chao Li replied.
"So, that means, you are either Cultivator, Ancient, or Immortals. But why did you come to this Mortal Land at this young age?" He doubtfully asked.
With that person's question, Chao Li was sure that person was a Cultivator.
Chao Li didn't state his object but casually replied, "Senior, I just came to experience the Mortal Land," and then asked, "Senior, are you a cultivator?"
"Me! That was a long back!" That person sighed with reminiscence and then seriously looked at Chao Li and said,
"Young Man, I can slightly see through the fates of people, but I can't see through you, so I can't say your fate. To compensate for that, you can ask me a few questions, and I will try to clarify you."
"I also don't want to know my fate." Chao Li thought inside,
"Senior, what is your name? What is your Cultivation Level, and why are you staying in this Mortal Land?" Chao Li asked.
"Young Man, I am called Saint Lin. For my cultivation, you better shouldn't know for your own good."
"For your third question, I am here because I lost my cultivation." Saint Lin sighed as he said.
Chao Li slightly knew what it meant by losing cultivation, so he sorrily replied, "I am sorry, Saint Lin. I made you remember the sad past."
"Don't worry, Young Man, I really haven't lost my entire hope." Saint Lin said, and his voice suddenly turned solemn,
"In here, I can find my fortune, and if that happens, I can become God!"
