Amid pitch darkness, Chao Li and Lin Hu heard deep wailings of desolate ancient beasts, and they settled on a large tree, as it was slightly dangerous to travel at night.
Nearly twelve hours had passed since their entry into the forest, and it would take them another four to five hours to leave from the forest, and Chao Li and Lin Hu decided to take a break and start their journey on next day.
Chao Li had never spent his night in a forest filled with powerful desolate beasts, which could take his life if he was careless. So he didn't sleep but cautiously tried to observe his surroundings every time.

That beast had one ability, the ability to follow shadows. While leaving, Chao Li and Lin Hu would have left their shadows in the form of a mark.
Shadow Jing would trace their tracks through the shadows they left behind. After fluttering for some time, Shadow Jing found traces of Lin Hu and Chao Li, and then, it started to float in the direction on which they left.
"Hehe!" Zero smiled devilishly. He also started moving in Lin Hu and Chao Li's direction.
Nearly after four hours, Chao Li and Lin Hu left the forest, and from there wouldn't be any more dangers Chao Li face on his way to Mortal Land.
It might take another three hours to reach Mortal Land.
"Ok, Chao Li; Now I escorted you out of the Purple Tree forest, and now, my mission is completed." Lin Hu seriously said to Chao Li.
"Thank you, brother Lin Hu, for your assistance. I am very glad about your help." Chao Li calmly replied.
"It isn't any help, but my mission, and for that, I am charging you, so you don't have to thank me." Lin Hu lightly replied and asked,
"Where will you go now, and who will escort you back to Sect?"
"Brother Lin Hu, I am going in that direction and don't know how many days it will take for my task. After finishing my task, I will look for some solutions to come back to Sect." Chao Li casually replied.
"Well, then. Since you have your destination, I will take my leave, as I have accepted another mission, so I have to go now. But be careful on the road." Lin Hu said.

Nearly two hours after their separation, Zero reached the place where they got separated. Upon reaching that spot, he frowned as he looked into two directions,

"According to report, Chao Li appointed Lin Hu to escort him out of Purple Tree Forest, and as he left the forest, I think those two went on their own ways."
"Since Chao Li wanted to escort only out of Purple Tree forest, he won't be going to a place more dangerous than this forest. So he will only travel for some short distance. If I am fast, I can catch him." He muttered.

Nearly after an hour, Chao Li almost reached near Mortal Land, and it might take another ten minutes for him to reach the Life Mountain range of Mortal Land.
Mortal Land was situated in a circle of two mountains. Half of that mountain was called Life Mountain, and another half was called Death Mountain.
A river in the shape of S connects between those two mountain interjections. That river was called the reincarnation river.
While at that time, Zero severely looked into the direction Chao Li was going,
"Where is this Chao Li going? In this direction, there exits Mortal Land!"
"Damn! Is this Chao Li going to that cursed land? Why is he going in there? Does he even know the infamy of that Mortal Land?" He trembled as he mused.
