As the technique entered Will's mind, he started trying to stand up.
As he did, he realized that something was wrong: his body felt bigger than it should be.
When he finally managed to stand up, he realized that he was right. He was at least 1 whole foot taller and his build was bigger too. He knew that he was there for a long time, but there was no way that he could have been there for so long that he had grown an entire foot.
"It must be because of my heart," he thought.
It made sense that his heart would make him bigger, because of the fact that it seemed to help him mainly physically. He could feel the strength flowing through his body just by moving around. He felt as if he was at least twice as strong as before, but he could tell that he was still only at the first stage of the foundational realm.
He then realized another thing.
"Wait, if I've been here for a long time, how am I not hungry?" he thought. If he was truly here for such a long time, then how was it that he wasn't hungry or thirsty?
"Wait, WHAT? I'm have no heartbeat AND i'm not BREATHING???" he yelled as he finally realized that not only did he have no heartbeat, but he also wasn't breathing, nor did he feel hungry or thirsty.
"DID I LOSE MY ORGANS OR SOMETHING?" he thought with major concern and curiosity. If he could survive without his organs, that meant that he wouldn't have to worry as much about getting hurt when in fights and stuff. If he didn't have organs when Prince James was about to kill him, he would have almost certainly survived even without any help and he would have also been able to protect himself better because the only way James would be able to hurt him is by breaking all his bones and cutting his skin and muscles.
About an hour later, he had familiarized himself with his bigger body and decided that he would explore his surroundings.
Since he was on a mountain, he decided to first find a cliff.
As he explored, he started to notice something: a lot of the trees around where he was had been cut down. He found this odd since he had not seen any towns so far.
"Oh well. I probably just haven't seen a town yet."
As he continued to search, he finally found a cliff. As he looked off of it, he realized that he was REALLY high up. This mountain was at least ten miles tall, and he was standing on the edge of a cliff that dropped all the way down.
As he realized this fact, he started getting dizzy, swaying back and forth, seemingly about to pass out.
As he was swaying, he staggered further forward, toward the cliff. Since he was already on the edge, he was now ridiculously close to falling off.
"Noo!" he yelled as he managed to knock himself back, falling on the ground while still ridiculously dizzy. He was so terrified of heights that it had nearly cost him his life just now.
Then, the unexpected happened. The edge of the cliff where he was shattered, falling down into the nearly infinite drop. His life seemed to go into slow motion as he realized that he was falling.
At this moment, he felt as if his death was for sure, and that there was no way he could survive.
As he started to fall, he closed in his eyes in terror. However, despite his expectations, it didn't feel like he was falling. After about a minute, he got curious and decided to open his eyes.
As he opened his eyes, he finally saw that he was just hovering in place, seemingly flying. He couldn't figure out how this was happening until he turned his head around and finally saw the reason. The wings on his back were flapping, keeping him in place.
"I have wings too?" he mumbled thoughtfully. The reason he didn't realize earlier that he had wings was that they perfectly tucked together on his back and it was impossible for him to see them along with the fact that they were so light despite being made of ruby feathers.
He suddenly realized that he wasn't trying to fly, it was just a natural instinct to him. He then tried moving forward, and to his surprise, he moved forward fairly quickly, floating perfectly through the air as if he was a bird in its natural environment.
Every movement he made seemed to be instinctual as he flew through the air with perfect grace, like an angel come down to earth.
Suddenly, as he was flying, he realized that his fear of heights had disappeared and that he actually loved it instead. He loved the freedom that flying offered and how he could go anywhere he wanted anytime he wanted.
As he was flying around, he decided that he would use this newfound ability to find a town or a kingdom, or some form of civilization at all.
Then, he finally found what he was looking for. There was a little village about a mile ahead of him.
He decided to land and walk up to it because it would make too much of a scene to fly and land there. People would freak out if he landed there, but if he simply landed here and walked over, it would seem like his wings were purely aesthetic instead.
As he landed on the ground, he started walking over towards the village.
When he got there, as expected, he got some weird looks and people talking about his wings, hair, and eyes, but they didn't ask him because they thought it was all aesthetic.
"Excuse me? Where can I find the nearest kingdom or city?" Will asked a random person on the street since he couldn't find a place that seemed to be in charge.
"The nearest kingdom or city? Well, the nearest city is Hidden Valley city, about 50 miles northwest. Why do you want to know?" The person responded.
"I was on my way somewhere and got caught up in a storm and got lost," Will lied, not wanting these people to know that he had no idea where he was and simply wanted to find a kingdom so that he could start cultivating. He didn't want to cultivate here because he could see that the strongest person here was at the third stage of the foundational realm, even worse than some of the weakest slaves from where he was from.
"Thank you. I wish I could stay but i'm in a hurry and need to get there quickly."
With this, Will started flying. Since he had already got his information, he wasn't worried about these people knowing about his flying and lying to him about the city.
However, this absolutely stunned the people below. They never expected his wings to be real wings that allowed him to fly. With those wings, he would be able to reach the city in only a few hours at most.
"Goodbye!" Will shouted from above the little town.
