"Are you a daddy dom?"
Of all the questions I could ask and in all the various fucking ways I could ask, this is how I do it? Really?
I winced, one hand reaching up to tuck a stray curl behind my ears.
"What would you do if my answer is yes?"
Now that. I wasn't expecting.
I quickly looked back up at him. Xander has both hands ticked into his pocket and he somehow looked bigger. Also what kind of answer is that? He couldn't just simply say yes or no?
"Is it yes?"
"Can we have this discussion somewhere else?" Xander asked and he doesn't even give me time to respond, he just started walking. He doesn't walk fast but he does walk away.
"Why? You want to let me down gently?" I asked.
Xander just glanced over at me but doesn't say anything. He cuts across the street, heading for the park. I followed closely, wondering what exactly he wanted to say.
We kept walking until we finally got to a park bench. Xander gestured towards it and I take my seat, still looking up at him.
"I am a daddy dominant."
The air was pushed out of my mouth and I stared at him with wide eyes. He looked so comfortable saying that. So proud to be who he is and it made him look a hundred times more gorgeous than ever.
His words surprised me even though I already had a tiny inkling about it. It's just... I didn't know what to do anymore. I haven't actually been with a daddy dominant in years. Especially one I was interested in.
"Are you alright?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" I asked him.
"Because you're gripping the bench tightly." Xander said, looking down at my hands. I hadn't even noticed I was doing that.
"I didn't say anything because I knew you are a little."
"I'm not." It felt bitter saying those words.
Xander stepped closer and I still don't look up at him. "You're not?"
"No."
Xander remained quiet and so did I. I was still staring down at my hands when Xander squats in front of me, his finger going underneath my jaw and tilting my head back so I could see him.
"You don't have to be a little for me, Bram. I haven't asked that of you and knowing how uncomfortable you are about this, I won't ever ask you." Xander said, his finger curling in and instead his thumb stroked my cheek. We were so close and I could see just how green his eyes were. Like the forest after a rainfall.
"I didn't say anything."
"You didn't have to. I could tell." Xander said with a small smile. "In my line of business we have to have sharp eyes and learn how to... pick on cues." He said and yeah, that actually made sense. Obviously Xander has had littles and obviously he knew what to look for.
He stood up and took a seat beside me, he looked down at my hands and then back at my face. How could he say that? How could he be a daddy dom and tell me I didn't have to be his little? Daddy dons adore, love, and cherish the feeling of responsibility. It's an indescribable sense of euphoria that they get from knowing they have someone to care for.
I looked at him, carefully studying his face and he didn't even twitch. He didn't look not sound like he was lying. No side glance, nothing. And he wasn't asking me why either. He wasn't even trying to convince me to pick him.
"Thank you."
Xander nodded. "Anything for you." He said and I smiled at him shyly.
"You..."
"Yes?" Xander asked.
"You're not going to ask?"
"No but I hope my surprise doesn't bother you." Xander said and I perk up again, excitement thrumming through my veins and I just couldn't wait to see it.
"It won't."
"You haven't seen it yet."
"But I know it won't bother me." I said and in my excitement I had gotten up from the bench. Xander was smiling at me and he also got onto his feet. He had just gotten onto his feet when he suddenly stood and took out his phone. He frowns when he looks down at the screen and I briefly wondered if it was J.
"I'm sorry. I have to take this." He said and I nodded. Xander took several steps away from me and I quickly pulled out my phone. Since it was silent, I hadn't known when Ryan had sent text and sent texts did he. I had over twenty three text messages, the last one asking for pictures.
So I stealthily angled my phone, smiling at the screen like I was on a video call while I took several pictures of Xander and sending it to Ryan.
I got a response almost immediately and it was just a voice note filled with Ryan's screams. Yeah. Yeah. I get why he's my best friend. I scrolled through the pictures I had sent and Xander looked good in every single one of them. His
face was stoic, there was a sharp tilt to his lips and his clothes complimented his body and everything about him, the background which was just trees and grass made it look like a mini photo shoot. Even in the pictures where Xander had been walking out of the police station, he looked good. Does this man ever take a bad photo? Does he even have a bad one?
So yes. I understood the screaming.
Xander ends his call and walks closer to me and I smiled, locking my phone and pushing it into my pocket.
"I am so sorry. Something came up and I have to deal with it before it becomes a headache." Xander said and again, I nodded. It was a bit sad that our date was ending here. It was a bit sad our date was ending right now.
"It's alright. We can do this another time."
"Would tomorrow be too soon?" Xander asked and I couldn't help but laugh softly.
"Aren't you meant to wait for at least eighteen hours before asking me on another date?" I teased.
"I could but I don't want to. I want to see you again. To see and hear you laugh in person rather than imagine it or hear it through the phone."
"You really are a cheeseball." I said, stepping closer to Xander.
"As long as you like it then I'm alright with being one." Xander said, laughing a bit afterwards. We walked back towards the mall and got back into the car. We finally get to the bus stop that was still several streets away from mine and soon I was standing beside the car.
"Where's my surprise?" I asked Xander.
"It's right..."
A black Jeep pulls to a stop in front of the two of us and a man in all black steps out of the car, a wolf stitched to his black blazer.
"Mr. Lupo." The man greeted us with a tiny bow. "Mr. Lupo's guest." I wanted to snort loudly but I couldn't. It would make me feel and look twice as awkward.
"Where is it?"
"Right this way." The man said and Xander nudged me a bit. We walked over to the Jeep and once the door was pulled open and I saw what my surprise was, I had to slap both my hands over my mouth.
Lying in the car, a bit squeezed so it could have more space was a giant teddy bear, a red bow around its neck and a tiny wolf stamp like mark on it. It looked so big and so fluffy. I just wanted to cuddle up to it.
"Xander..."
"You told me you were cold and the first thing that came to mind was buying you this. You could cuddle up to it for warmth, talk to it anything." Xander said and I just couldn't believe it.
I've seen large sized teddy bears like this but never got them. I didn't have the money too and my last dom kept postponing, looking for reasons not to get me one. Getting one this huge and this big was a dream come true for me.
I was so happy, so thankful that I just turned around, went on my toes and wrapped my arms around Xander's neck, hugging him tightly. I didn't know what else to do.
I felt Xander wrap his arms around me, feeling the weight of his hands on my waist. It felt so warm, he felt so warm. I almost didn't want to let go.
When I finally did, I turned back to the car, reaching inside to touch my new stuffi- teddy!! J could understand why Xander thought the teddy bear was going to bother me. Littles loved getting stuffies. It es one of our favorite things and some littles grow attached to it. That is remember something and get lost in my head or angry or upset.
Speaking of teddy bears. hit. It was huge. How was I going to get it home?
"Xander, how am I going to get it home?"
"I was thinking Stan could drive you home while I go and take care of things." Xander said and I looked between him and Stan the driver.
"Fine." I could trust him on this. Just this once.
Xander smiled widely like he couldn't believe I had agreed just like that. I had to say, he looked really cute and it isn't fair. He had to pick one for fucksake! He couldn't be hot, handsome, gorgeous, funny, nice and cute rolled into one.
"Text me when you get home." Xander said and I nodded.
"I will. Text me when you're done with your meeting." I said, waving at him.
"Of course."
Since the teddy took up the space at the back seat, I had to sit at the front. Xander had held the door open for me, buckling me in like it was instinct when this was the third time I had done so.
I gave Stan my address and he starts the engine.
"Hey Stan." I said when we pulled away from the curb.
"Yes sir?"
I didn't hold back the snort this time. "Please never call me that again. I thought it wasn't fair I knew your name when you didn't know mine." I said. "So hi, Stan, I'm Bram."
"Nice to meet you, Bram."
"Same here." I said; smiling a bit at him even though he couldn't see it because he was focusing on the road.
Thankfully, Stan got me home in one piece and since I didn't want him to know what apartment exactly I lived in, I lugged the giant teddy into the building. I was so happy I lived on the second floor because anything above that would have resulted in me panting like I did a 5k run.
I finally got to my door, unlocked it and pushed it open. Ryan's eyes almost popped out of his head when he saw the large teddy bear I was pulling in. I was going to have to clean it up a bit.
"You got this on the first date?"
"I told him I was cold." Was all I could say.
Ryan helped me get the giant bear into my room and right on my bed. Since the bear was a few inches taller than me I had been scared my bed wasn't going to take it but seeing it now, resting against the pillows with enough space surrounding it...
The teddy...
The teddy bear was perfect.
I couldn't look away from the bed and I was just so happy. So happy that I didn't know how exactly to put it in words.
"So what are we gonna name him?" Ryan asked me.
"Chocolate."
The fur of the teddy reminded me of white chocolate, so did it's brown eyes. Chocolate was perfect for it. A perfect name for a perfect stuffie.
I pulled out my phone and typed out a text.
To Xander 🔫: just got home
To Xander 🔫: thank you so much for today. thank you so much for the bear
