Chapter 1 - Prologue 1: The End

I have nothing left, I lost everything I had left. My life no longer makes sense, I didn't take the chances that life gave me and now I'm about to commit suicide.

My father ended up dying in an accident while traveling with my mother, she ended up in a vegetative state and is still like that today. Without my parents, I had to support myself and because of that I ended up dropping out of school. I work a 12 hour job a day, I barely have time to get home. But when I arrive, she is there, she is always there to calm me down and relieve my stress, she is all I have. Today I decided to leave work early, I managed to convince my boss that today is a special day, it's the day we celebrate 3 years of dating, I'm going to ask her to marry me.

After leaving work I go to a flower shop, I decided to buy a flower called "sakura". It's the flower that reminds me of her, the flower that represents love, beauty and renewal.

When I arrive at the place the attendant recognizes me.

"What do you want today sir?" Said the attendant, with a smile on his face.

"Do you still have that flower called 'Sakura'?" I answered.

"Of course, but why would you want another one?" Said the attendant, as he took the flower.

"One more?" I answered.

"It's just that I went shopping today and my daughter was taking care of it. She told me that her wife was here with a man, it was you, wasn't it?" Said the attendant.

After thinking for a few minutes about what the attendant had told me, I came to the conclusion that it must have been a mere coincidence.

"That's impossible, I've been at work all the time. Your daughter must have confused." I replied, with a tone of uncertainty.

"Since you say..." The attendant replied, with a little mocking tone.

After picking up the flower, I went home, halfway through my head trying to convince myself that what the attendant's daughter said was just a coincidence, but for some reason my heart still wasn't completely convinced. So after thinking for a bit, I quickened my pace.

"What am I doing? Why am I walking faster? Don't I trust my own girlfriend?" I spoke to myself, my heart sinking.

After arriving at the front of the house, I went straight to the window and saw my girlfriend watching television. A momentary relief coursed through my body as my heart began to calm down, I headed for the door.

"See? I said it was all a misunderstanding." I said to myself as I opened the door.

When I opened the door, I was getting ready to say the famous phrase "Honey, I'm home!" But I was interrupted by a sudden tightness in my heart, there were two pairs of shoes on the driveway. And none were mine.

Right after seeing that I had two pairs of shoes in my house, I quickly went to the window again, while in my head I begged "please, my God, don't do this to me."

When I reach the window, my body has no reaction, my heart clenches as if to say "I told you so!". My girlfriend, the only thing keeping me standing in this world now was kissing another man.

At this point, I realized that I had nothing left. Every dream I had about her, every wish to start a family, went to waste. I couldn't feel anger, nor hate. My only reaction at that moment was to cry.

As the tears fell, something in my head kept repeating the phrase "you've got nothing else, get it over with!". And after hearing it over and over again, I decided I was going to do it. I was going to end my suffering.

Right after regaining some control of my head, I turned around, I couldn't bear to look at that scene anymore. When I take the first step, I hear the following sentence from inside.

"Will you marry me?"

Right after hearing that phrase, I turn around again, incredulous at what I just heard.

"That's not possible, their relationship must be recent, getting married in such a short time?" I thought.

After a few seconds, my girlfriend responds.

"I wasn't prepared for this, but I gladly accept."

After a few more seconds of kissing, she asks a question.

"Why ask me to marry you so suddenly? I swear I didn't expect this."

He answers right away.

"It's been 2 years since we've known each other, I couldn't wait any longer."

If you still lacked any iota of hope, that iota completely disappeared after that last sentence.

A lot of questions popped into her head, how long was he being tricked? And why didn't she let him know she loved someone else? Did she like to see him suffer? But none of these questions could change her mind if they had answers, he was already decided.

After leaving that place, he went to the hospital, he would like to say goodbye to his mother, even if she had not been there for a long time.

When he arrived at the hospital, he held his mother's hand as tears fell from her eyes.

"I'm sorry mom, I wasn't strong enough, I couldn't take care of you until the end." He said as his trembling hand held his mother's hand.

Before leaving, he leaves the flower he had bought for his girlfriend next to his mother.

After leaving the hospital, he meets a lady, this lady approaches him and holds her hand, she was very old and could barely speak, but when he held her hand she filled her lungs and told him:

"God is watching you, he will never abandon you, no matter what."

Right after she finishes the sentence, I let go of her hand.

"God abandoned me a long time ago ma'am. I hope he doesn't abandon you too." I reply as I walk away.

When I left the hospital, I headed to a bridge. I was prepared to end my suffering.

Before I play, some memories of my life flash through my head, good and bad memories. And as I remember I realize that I have made many wrong choices in my life.

When I'm about to throw myself, I give my last words.

"If I had another chance, I would do everything right."

After saying that sentence, I throw myself.

...

'YOU RECEIVED A REWARD!'

'AFTER COMPLETING THE MISSION "THE COURAGE OF THE LOSER" YOU RECEIVED A NEW CHANCE, WOULD YOU LIKE TO REINCARNATE?'

"Huh?"
