Synopsis
The night is dead silent. I am huffing and breathing starts to get louder, my dead scarlet eyes glowed when I saw a human's neck. I grabbed her and suck her blood without leaving any. I am no longer a human.

Chapter 1 - BLOOD DEVOURER

Humans are wonderful creatures, they live a happy and carefree life also they have high intelligence that makes them the highest kinds of beings ever existed, or at least they should have been.

"Hey please, what are you doing? No! Don't come near me!"

It has been a year since I became a vampire, an immortal being that far exceeds a human.

Unlike a normal vampire that you can see in movies I am more powerful, the reason is the one that turn me to a vampire is the first progenitor Vladimir himself.

I have strength to destroy a ten-story building in one punch, I can't be burned by sunlight; I can also alter my appearance or became invisible. In conclusion I am a very powerful vampire, but that is not all.

"No please, just let me live!"

This person is a person that has infiltrated my base, a human that didn't know his place.

His whole body is trembling in fear yet I do not think that I would give him mercy for what he had done.

"You invade my territory and now you are begging for mercy. You should have been prepared to die when you are committing crimes."

My fangs easily penetrated his neck to drink thy blood.

I will suck this human's blood until it dried.

"Not too bad, your blood is quite tasty."

"You monster…!"

Humans are awful creatures, they live a life of greediness stomping others in their path, and they are mindless enough that they only know how to use others to benefit them; that is what they have become.

When I turned into a vampire, I deplore myself because I might be an enemy to humanity but now I can only think of them as worthless beings.

My heart did not stop beating but ever since then, it became cold, so cold to feel anyone's warmth.

I still attend the school because I still want to live a life that is somewhat like a normal person.

I can only resist my blood thirst for a month, my life will no longer be normal unless I suck others' blood, how uncool.

"The midnight already passed, seems that I lost my tract of time."

I arrived at our house around three in the morning, this place is where what I used to call a family once reside.

"Zen, you returned really late again. Just where are you always going?"

This person is the one I used to call mother, but now she is just a troublesome talking chunk of meat.

"I just go to a friend's house to finish a project."

"Hey, don't you think you are going too far! Your mom is just worried about you!" this old man is the one I used to call father, another walking flesh.

"Sorry, I will tell when I'm leaving next time."

Both of them are night workers at call center, I can just see them around three to six in the morning.

Not that I care but it is just that I think that it is much better if I don't see them that often, I don't have any lingering feelings for them anyways.

My room is nothing but ordinary, I am always studying at the corner where my glass table is.

The stenches of the spoiled food that those old hags left for me are still lingering, I never like to eat their food, because it feels disgusting.

The story books I once read when I was a kid are stored beneath the glass table, this place didn't even feel a little bit nostalgic now.

The memories I have here are just like videos that are not valuable.

My bed that they prepared, mother even sew my name in this blanket, but this is nothing but ordinary.

When I became a vampire my emotions are also fading, I tried to stop its fading once but this change is unrelenting.

I feel almost nothing whether it is happiness, sadness, nor anger.

Moreover, I do not even feel the need of having emotions.

I have a feeling that what I've lost is something important but I can't even remember what it is.

All that is left to me is thirst of blood and the wanting to have a normal life, but what -really is normal?

I am starting to lose tract of myself, I am moving to a path that I can't even see where it's heading.

My mind is full of doubts.

Am I really the person I used to be or am I a vampire that inhibits this human body?

Am I Zen or a monster?

As I opened the glass sliding window, the breeze from the tree outside enters my room that is set to be in second floor.

The wind feels great, it makes me calmer than usual.

Zenil Michael Crowley, am I still you or is your existence is just a piece of memory that stayed in this body?

I hope to find the answer.

The wind seems to be blowing stronger, it is time to close the windows.

Weird, the light is off but I can see pretty well, maybe it is another one of my vampire powers.

I am… who am I again?

The hot bath I am enjoying every morning is gone.

My sense of touch is numb so I can't even feel temperature.

Is the water too hot or is it too cold?

The fact that it will clean my body is what all I can see.

The road I used to take when going to school that make tired of pedaling is nothing but a normal road now.

I can even overtake in fast vehicles now without worrying about dying, I am immortal after all.

There are lots of people gathering here, I wanted to stay away from the school's crowd as much as possible so I always go here early.

This time I arrived exactly six in the morning, nothing unusual.

My classroom is quite large for twenty students, it is a special section for excellent students but that is the reason why I choose this.

The dawn has come, a quarter before seven people will start to come, my classmates along with the teacher, but that doesn't matter to me.

I took a deep breath.

"I don't care anyway."
