Luke was not willing to even spare a look at her and that made the others more venturous.
"Let's leave him," one said. "He just wanted to be treated as an Aristocrat. We can forgive his stupidity…"
"He?" That cousin of Luke sneered. "I always doubted that…"
"He might be a … you know what…" another one nudged him making everyone ridicule her more.
She understood that they want to mock her to get everything off their chest. She held a rather high position in the Palace with the pass that entitled her to barge in anywhere. There were only two of them with that power in that Palace. The other one is the crowned Emperor.
She wasn't very appreciative of their intent to mock her. She didn't want to hurt herself by listening to what they were saying. She expected Luke to give spare her that humiliation and order them to leave her be.
