Her vision changed after encountering that innocent child, she soon departed from the place as it drove her insane to the point that she even got herself new tattoos.
"Bliss, where were you?" the chestnut-haired male, Ace, also known as Nick Asher, approached the red-headed female in the dark.
"Rissa and I were still scouting... And got separated."
"Well, where is she now?" the older male questioned her with a hint of concern in his voice.
'I thought that he didn't trust us enough to even care about our well-being...' the female held onto her wrist, beginning to see the colors once again.
"Are you feeling okay, Blessy? You look pale." Shawn placed the back of his palm to check the girl's temperature but he didn't sense anything wrong with her and brushed the thought off because at least she is together with them now.
'I'm not normal...' she followed them with a deadly stare that can be noticed in her eyes.

Kyzer threw down a pot filled with overflowing hot water that had been boiling on a pipe for hours, and he was in desperate need of resources after staying in a glassy building.
Watching his opponents finish off every last bit of what they left of their prey despite the long years of them being untouched on the ground.
"This is getting boring." he was as white as snow by this time around, sucking the blood of his enemies for a long while so far has left him cold-blooded as a vampire.
"Die! Die, you little mockingbird." he leaned in closer, aggressively letting an infected monster hear the only words he had to say before it died from getting boiled half-dead.
'Their physical trait looking like a flying dinosaur, officially known as Pterosaurs from the Mesozoic era.' he thought to himself while crouching down on a rock.
'I will be the one who ends that bastard and traitor.' he snapped the creature's neck as he spotted it in the distance, rushing forward before it could even get to him.
"That'll teach you people to show some respect."
Kyzer clicked his tongue before dragging it onto the pot filled with hot water and draining the blood from both of the monsters he defeated.
'I wonder where the others are, it has been weeks since I last saw them, and clearly, they'll lead me to him.' the pale-looking silver-haired male nodded his head, smiling viciously.
'We still have to gather more supplies before leaving...'
June summoned everyone using the walky-talky, leaving the girls' side as they rested in one of the houses that they all gathered inside to use for the night.
"What is it?" they questioned as soon as they arrived in the same room, deciding to move on their own, in the meantime. "Surely, we can't rely on them."
He paused from talking, signaling his friends to leave the room with him and let the girls get the rest they deserved.
"We can't keep on relying on them since they also have the need to take care of themselves..." their leader added with a hint of concern in his voice, telling his older friends to take this matter into their own hands.
"What do we do then?"
Shawn tilted his head to the side, peeking inside the room where the girls slept, thinking of something that would help their team grow to trust one another fully without hiding anything. "Starting from now on, we share everything."
"Are you even thinking right now?"
Ace shook his head in disapproval of his friend's idea, raising his voice.
"It isn't fair if they are the only ones telling us stories about their lives! It just isn't fair, Nick." he answered, looking deep into his eyes to gain some sympathy from the older male, knowing that he still doesn't seem to trust them.
"At least try." he added, giving up because he wouldn't be able to convince any of his friends to listen to him, after all, the last time he persuaded them into trusting people did not end happily.
"The last time we-" Mike tried to remind him. "I know what I did wrong last time but do you really think these girls would do something like that??" Shawn answered.
"Fine, trust them if you want because I want nothing personal to do with them. And you clearly have those loving eyes for that red-headed girl, why don't you just go ahead? Confess to her already like the real gentleman you are." Ace spoke, visibly fuming in anger as his friends huddled in a circle, not letting him walk away.
"Calm down, we know you're still mourning for your parents but don't you dare cross the line with your emotions." their friend, Mike gave him an assuring and stern pat on the back, Ace is the oldest among them but he doesn't have the right to always boss them around, keeping them from having a better teamwork with the girls.
"But is it really obvious that I like her?" the black-haired male innocently asked them, scratching the back of his neck while they simply looked at him, chuckling at the sight of him looking incredibly flustered.
"Yes, we know you." the oldest friend smiled and let them know that he'll be spending his time in the kitchen as they mind their own business now.
"Is it or is it not? Tell me!" Shawn did not end their discussion, annoying his friends as much as they annoyed him, consentaneously following them around the house while they worked to make it more secure than ever.
"What is he on about this time?" Rissa appeared in the kitchen, taking a sit on one of the stools beside Shawn. "We were just talking about your sister..."
Mike vaguely answered with a fading grin on his face once he entered the kitchen alongside June, putting down their building equipment on a tabletop, and then, they remembered something.
"Did something else happen to my sister? Other than Shawn having feelings for her?" Rissa had a smirk on her face but their conversation was headed to an interesting one.
"Does anyone else here know about the way I look at Blessy?" he asked, unknowingly letting the girl, herself, find out about it.
"I didn't know, until now..." she chuckled with her widened eyes.
============
'That was such a sudden indirect confession...' Blessy thought as she ate her meal for the evening beside her older sister while the rest of their team spent their remaining time in that neighborhood, fortifying the house more than before.
"So, what do you think about him?" Rissa had a smirk on her face, encouraging her to give the naive male a chance.
'However, the idea of having a love life in today's situation isn't present in my mind.' she did not wish to engage in any sort of special relationship with anyone around her, thinking to herself. "I don't want to have another thing in mind." she vaguely replied with an uninterested tone as she spoke back.
The group once again gathered as a whole outside the house where they camped for quite a while, checking all that they needed to bring along on the road to the origin.
"Do we have everything we need?"
Blessy checked to confirm, going around each and every one of the others' baggage, meanwhile, they all placed their flashlights on their heads.
Putting on a helmet where there is also a pair of night vision goggles to help them see through the darkness.
"These things are really cool, I never thought that I would be able to use them one day!" Ace commented, shifting on his gear before they began to leave the desolated neighborhood which they now call their chrysalis since the entire premises is as safe as a bee with honey in their hive.
"Don't get too chic with these gadgets... I struggled to fix them."
Blessy held out her hand in front of them, stopping the other survivors from getting cheeky with the things she took apart and assembled together with Ace who knows most of the locations where they can search for the equipment that they have used to make new devices for a higher rate of surviving.
'Our sense of direction is in the hands of my black-haired admirer, I wonder how things would end up, in this case...' the red-headed female gave a glance at Shawn.
She motioned him to take the lead now that he had a map of the country and even a compass to go along with that.
"Okay, we travel to the west." he guided them after looking at the map.
Encircling a ton of places they can camp in each time an unplanned crisis comes blocking their way, Shawn carefully traced and highlighted the routes they may take to get to the southern island. 'We'll need a ship for the final trip.'
"See anything?" Rissa lightly tapped Mike's right shoulder, gently whispering into his ears as they slightly split up near the huge roads to gain the privilege of being able to help each other out in case of an attack.
"We wouldn't want to get cornered and eaten all at once now, do we?" Blessy replied to Shawn's question, asking her about their sudden split.
"Nothing... No one in sight."
The silver-haired male responded with a husky voice, telling the others behind them to keep moving as they temporarily yet cautiously lowered their weapons.
'I hope that these melee defenses of ours will be good enough to avoid causing even the smallest noise when we fight those creatures.' the eldest doubted the girls.
"Watch out!" Rissa pulled the chestnut-haired male from running into a deaf living undead monster, Ace fell from the sudden pull and landed in the hands of the female, making a quick eye contact before he realized that it was time to move on from that impact.
"Uhmmm... You are most certainly welcome~" the female grinned from ear to ear.
Finding the other individual a little adorable though he tries to look cool in front of them, she gazed at her sister and proceeded to stay away from their enemies.
"Even if there's only one of them, do not engage." they all nodded at the statement coming from the intercoms inside their earholes, continuing the journey back to the origin.

"Where to next?" June curiously went up to his older friend, Shawn, while wiping off the dirt on his handmade spear that Blessy crafted from scrap.
They spent a few hours taking a short break from their adventure, setting up their fort in the midst of a pharmacy store where a few survivors welcomed them.
"Do you have any sanitary pads around here? And also, I don't really have to pay any more, right? Or do I??" Rissa was babbling all sorts of things, feeling extremely insecure by the fact that her menstrual cycle was still ongoing though the world was in distress.
"Here." Ace passed her a basket filled with what she just needed to soothe her period.
"Thank you, and did you hear that?" she let a moment of silence engulf the atmosphere before flicking his forehead, resuming with her statement soon after.
"I said thank you while you simply walked off earlier!" she scoffed, walking away as soon as she finished complaining about his act of arrogance.
"What was that all about?" he asked and then, received an unwanted answer from his youngest friend, June.
"The effect of menstruation, mood swings or as people like to call it being emotional..." June hastily evaded a smack on the back, leaning forward before escaping him.
'Just apologize and explain it to her. It won't make things worse, will it?!'
Shawn ruined his black hair from frustration, preparing himself for better or worse once he straightly told the long and red-headed female ahead of him, currently helping the new survivors organize their store to make it safe and still an ongoing business.
"Without needing anything in return, you can scavenge in other places to restock and provide for the people out there who might need some supplies, or specifically... Medicine." she had a smile of warmth visible on her pretty face.
"Hey, are you done?" the black-haired male asked her, checking if she finally had the time to spare for his explanation. 'Though he doesn't necessarily have to do this...'
Blessy thought to herself, lifting her forefinger before putting it on her pouting pale lips, curious as to why the boy had the desire to do all these things...
'For like what? Nothing, really.'
"So, what is this about?" the girl had her arms placed on her hips with a frown on her face. "Never mind, you look like might throw a punch at me." said the black-haired male, holding his hands in his defensive form of action.
"I would never do that unless you offend me, of course."
Blessy responded in confusion, sounding a bit emotional just as bad as how her older sister was acting not so long ago, nonetheless, Shawn decided to understand them if they were not feeling so great, thinking to himself.
'This must be why they argue a lot with us...' he concluded.
"If you need to relieve some stress, talk to me or use me as a punching bag." he naively spoke, realizing what he said to the girl when he accidentally gave her consent to use violence on him without even thinking about his words carefully.
"I am not going to do that, but thank you. I guess?" she replied with an unsure smile plastered on her face, patting the other survivor on his shoulder right before heading back to the main room of the pharmacy.
'Things aren't going back to normal in this case, especially when someone has feelings for me.' Blessy shook her head in disbelief.
"Get me a ton of papers!" she entered a messy room, the shelves were thrown down in a messy way while the people around her were literally gathered in a corner, terrified because of the orange-headed 21-year-old female in the midst.
She rolled her eyes, not giving a single ounce of her attention to the other female who was also on her period.
'Indeed, we both have the same menstrual cycle which is kind of annoying.' the red-headed individual caused Shawn to stop in his tracks since she was blocking the way, making him stay cautious of her temper so as not to end up as his friends who were handling the other female.
"Keep it down, Riell Rossa!" the younger sister was fuming in anger.
Each and every individual halted what they were doing, giving a stern yet horrified glance at the source of the voice.
She was popping off her knuckles while trying to hold in her frustration from the madness that was happening inside the pharmacy that her sister created.
"That is it! You and your friends are banned from our store."
The owner backfired and disregarded the help of the young survivors as they were tired of the drama that the two sisters were making them go through and suffer from.
"Uh-huh, after what we did for you!"
Rissa cried on the floor with all of the papers that had been given to her by Mike and June, tearing them apart little by little as a substitute for violence.

"Well, you heard them. We're banned from this place so it's better to just leave quietly." Ace organized his tools on a yoga mat that he placed on the ground, he was surrounded by his friends who were waiting for the girls to retrieve and pack up everything they prepared for the journey they all agreed upon going.
"No matter what happens, we stick together. Got it?" Mike reached out his hand in the middle as they huddled in a circle once the two girls finished what they were doing in the pharmacy, smiling through the throbbing pain they felt.
"Will do!" Blessy wiped a few stains of blood on her hands, joining the up-high that their team wanted to execute as a promise to work together even with all the disagreements they may come in contact with, in the near future.
"Please! Help us!" the sound of screams began to overtake the pharmacy as soon as the team decided to depart from it.
"Should we head back for a minute?" Mike was ready to lend them a hand even after their team was kicked out of the pharmacy for a good eternity.
"Let's leave, they messed with the wrong duo so they get to bathe in their own blood!" Rissa lifted up her fist in the air, shouting victoriously after waging a war with the employees whom they had met.
"Did you two commit some sort of a crime?" Shawn accused the two ladies who were seemingly drenched in blood, they gave him a vague response.
However, shrugging their shoulders in unison with an incomprehensible expression on their faces, attempting to avert the males' attentions and continue to travel on foot.
'Girls can really turn into a bunch of psychopaths during that time of the month.' Mike was ascertaining everything like an academic lesson as he perceived all the information he needed, given the fact that he has a younger sister whom he dearly cares for and even worries about all the time.
"Oh, crap!" Rissa dropped her shoes on the grass because she felt too indolent to untie them before demanding Blessy, her younger sister, to massage her back like a queen who had no shame whatsoever.
"Why do you act like that?" Ace folded his sleeves whilst demanding answers from Rissa, curious to know how she developed her charismatic charm yet reckless and dominant behavior to justify her treatment towards other people.
The group had their own business to mind as they took a break at a hill with a withering fig tree after traveling on foot for around 3 hours.
"I used to be bullied..." she started, gazing at the sun shining brightly above them, she gave a glance at her younger sister before averting her sight on the group of guys. "Everyone in school knew better than I did."
Rissa brought out an academic textbook from her belongings, setting it aside as her sister stood still behind her.
Blessy looked far into the distant view, catching a glimpse of a herd of undead creatures walking in a straight line as if they were still living civilized human beings.
"She did what a smarter person would have done as revenge to those kids." additionally, the red-headed 19-year-old female spoke on behalf of her sister.
"I worked so hard to beat them in their own game." Rissa grabbed the academic textbook while her sister took off the hair tie that was keeping her hair from dropping down, passing a pair of glasses soon after. "You look totally different."
The carrot-haired female's appearance instantaneously altered from a bad bitch to a nerdy girl. June walked up to her and examined the change in her aura.
He was also fascinated by the fact that Rissa hadn't punched him straight in the face like she always does to those who invade her personal bubble.
He sighed in relief too soon, regretting his life decisions the moment that Blessy chose to remove her sister's glasses, quickly causing Rissa to undergo an unexpected transition back to her usual personality.
"What gives?!" June winced in pain due to the impact as he backed away from the female who attacked him, the girl though felt no guilt.
Blessy was laughing like a maniac while Shawn understood the not-so-playful joke that she pulled on his comrade. "That's not funny, you three!"
Mike felt like their team had no sense of sympathy for one another, ignoring the pain that each of them had been going through so far.
"Shawn, I expect only the best from you." June stated.
"Must you really act this low like those two girls?" Ace scolded him, however, Mike perfectly caught onto the special reason why Rissa and Blessy were crossing the line.
"Sorry." the black-haired boy, Shawn, responded to his older friends, leaving the two girls behind with their endless mood swings.
"They are losing sight of the mission we intend to pursue." June snapped his finger in front of the girls when they had finally calmed down and sluggishly fell to the ground, seemingly melting from the sun's heat.
"It is too hot!!" Blessy and her sister let each and every drop of all their bottled emotions free at once from being kept on hold.
"Should we leave them here or stay with them?" Shawn went up to his older friend's side, pointing at the two ladies. "We gave our word to stick together, remember?"
Ace and June answered in unison, pulling apart the girls from one another since they were already set to get going on their journey once again. "It's about time..."
