Lucas is helping Cleo to apply ointment onto her rashes. Cleo's long neck is making Lucas swallow his saliva. He closed his eyes for a moment, so that he could control his beating heart.
Cleo was silent, she just realized the awkward thing. She is allowing a man to touch her body. Even though he is just helping her to apply ointment.
Her beating heart, red face and warm feeling made the two of them feel awkward.
Lucas also felt it. The man became embarrassed.
"Let me do it myself." Cleo said, taking the ointment from Lucas' hand. She wanted to break the ice.
"I'll take the medicine from the pharmacy, don't go anywhere," Lucas said as he walked away.
After he got out and is far from Cleo, Lucas took a shaky breath and rubbed his chest, happy to be able to keep his distance from Cleo. His eyes fell on the parked police car.
