Kaguya and Chika continued to stare at Michael for a moment and thought he was beginner's luck.
Michael ignored the girls and grabbed another arrow to keep practicing, but before he put the arrow on the bow, he heard the sound of a new task from the system.
------------
*! Ding! The host has a new task
New task: Impact the public
Mission: Carry out an action that shocks the audience at the archery range.
Rewards: 300 exp points, 300 store points, 1 normal lottery ticket
---------
"An action that shocks Kaguya and Chika, huh?" Michael thought but he had no idea what to do.
"If he shot an arrow and it hits the center again, I don't think it's something shocking. There must be something else that the system can consider as 'shocking'"
Michael kept thinking until an idea came to mind. "If an arrow that hits the target only causes a brief hit, what would happen if it fired multiple arrows?"
He looked ahead where several targets were positioned, arranged side by side. He kept looking for a brief moment and decided to carry out the idea that he was thinking of.
Michael positioned himself in the center of the field, with vision of several targets. He raised the bow and with his other hand he grasped four arrows and positioned them by gently stretching the string
"....." Kaguya and Chika who were looking at Michael were surprised by what he wanted to do, they both wanted to stop him but they were late as they heard the sound of arrows flying.
* FeFFFFT * Michael heard the sound the arrows made as they put down the bow.
* Put * * Put * * Put * * Put *
The impact sound of the four arrows hitting the target was heard.
Michael smiled in relief to see that all the arrows hit the center of the target and not just one target but each date was on a different target and each one hit the center.
"..........."
The archery club fell into deep silence, no one made the slightest noise. Someone might even think that if they put a cricket inside the club, they could hear it screeching.
"........" Kaguya and Chika did not say anything, they remained frozen in their positions observing the arrows that were in each target.
They felt like their brains couldn't process what just happened and they were short-circuited.
The seconds passed and those seconds turned into minutes but no one made any noise.
"W- W - What the heck just happened!" Chika was the first to react and screamed because she couldn't believe what just happened and even she thought her eyes had seen bad. She rubbed her eyes hard and looked up at the targets.
Kaguya just reacted due to Chika's scream and she too couldn't believe what she just saw. She looked at Michael deeply and thought "Michael, who are you really?"
She, who had been practicing archery for years, had never seen anything like this even in official tournaments. It could be said that it was practically impossible to perform that maneuver. If she didn't see it for herself, she would doubt the sanity of the person telling it.
Kaguya and Chika quickly approached Michael and took the bow from him because they thought the bow was modified or there was something on it.
Michael had a strange smile as he watched as the women took the bow from him and began to look at him instead of at him.
"They are supposed to see me and not the bow" thought Michael and he did not know whether to laugh or cry at the action of both girls.
He then he heard the toast notification for the completed task.
Kaguya and Chika stopped looking at the bow because there was nothing in it and they switched their focus to Michael and asked him.
"Did you modify the bow?" Chika asked with curiosity and surprise.
Michael rolled his eyes at Chika's question and wondered if this girl had forgotten that she was the one who handed him the bow.
Kaguya lightly slapped her forehead at Chika's silly question and thought that the nutrients she was consuming were not going towards her head but towards her breasts.
Kaguya looked at Chika's chest and then her chest and got annoyed at the comparison and then remembered that it was not the time to compare.
"How did you do it?" Asked Kaguya in surprise waiting to hear Michael's response.
"....." Michael looked at Kaguya and Chika for a moment and thought about what answer to give.
"First, Chika-san, the bow is unchanged because you were the one who handed me all the equipment if you forgot." Michael answered Chika's question and then looked at kaguya.
"Hmm ... To be honest, I have a peculiarity and it is that I learn quickly from everything they teach me. Even in my mind I formulate some situations and when I try to put it into action, most of the time they are fulfilled" Michael replied to Kaguya with some slight lies in his words.
Kaguya didn't feel Michael's light lies because he didn't show it on her face and she believed Michael was telling the truth.
"So sometimes, eh? I mean, is it based on probabilities? Can there be times that go well for you and others that go wrong?" Kaguya asked curiously.
"Exactly" Michael nodded surprised because Kaguya believed him and the answer she came up with.
"Also, there are certain factors that you have to consider if you want to improve," said Michael.
"Factors?" Kaguya asked in confusion but then remembered something "Ah, you mean the weather" she exclaimed.
"Exactly, if you take the weather into consideration, then you won't have any problem taking your shots" Michael agreed.
"Although I don't know if the archery tournaments are in an open field, I don't take into account if the weather will affect but if it is, then one must take those factors into account. It is what I believe."
Michael explained the idea to him as since he has no experience in this type of sport, he hopes he was not wrong.
"You're not wrong" Kaguya shook her head. "What you say is right, since I saw some reports where the masters of this sport explain their theories" said Kaguya looking at Michael while she thought if he should recruit him to the club as it would be a great help.
"Uff! Good thing I wasn't wrong" Michael sighed in relief.
"I see" Chika nodded in understanding as if she came up with the same answer as Kaguya.
You must not think that Chika is dumb, she is talented in some areas but she mostly prefers to have fun with her friends and she does not think carefully about things.
"Well, I think I should go" Michael looked at his phone and noted that it was already 4pm. He grabbed his jacket and put it on.
Kaguya and Chika checked the time on their phones and also realized that it was late.
Before leaving, they fixed up the club, set up the equipment in their respective places and cleaned the place until it was left as they found it.
Kaguya proceeded to walk into the changing room to change while Michael and Chika waited for her.
After Kaguya left the locker room, the three of them walked towards the club exit.
Leaving the club, they all headed towards the exit of the academy, on the way they chatted quietly until Michael felt his cell phone vibrate, reached into his pocket and took it out.
He observed that there was a message from Lilith, opened the message and read the content. The message was somewhat short 'Maki will come to the house, on the way she goes through the market and buys some ingredients. 'and there was a list attached to the message.
Michael knowing that Maki would arrive, he told Kaguya and Chika that she would have visitors and would have to come back.
To which both girls nodded and shared contacts with Michael, accompanying him to the exit.
Michael said goodbye to Kaguya and Chika, and walked towards the nearby market humming a tune showing that his mood was very happy.
