CHAPTER 01

"Nadine wait", Michel says when he sees her about to leave the big town university. She has a certain class indeed, even when she walks.

Nadine is wearing her crimson suit. It is constituted of tailored jacket and trousers. Her Rosewood shirt fits well the suit. Her black shoes and satchel made of crocodile leather , have enhanced the elegance of her outfit.

Nadine is awaiting close to her car for Mr.Michel, her director department.

"Nadine, someone has put in your cupboard this flower bouquet", Michel says when being mesmerized looking closely in her eyes for the first time.

"Thank you! Mr.Michel, I will miss you and all the department staff", she adds when leaving the university with bloody eyes and tears on her cheeks.

The university was built in 1912 and teaches the basic human sciences graduation program with a research department. It is a big British edifice conceived in Victorian architecture style. It gives a certain credibility to the big town indeed.

There is an underground tunnel that links many localities. Also, it is thought that it is haunted.

CHAPTER 02

Nadine has just finished her studies with success and excellent mention. Henceforth, she becomes an attorney specialized in human rights. Nadine is a young slender lady of thirty. She is blond with long golden hair and blue wide eyes. Nadine is a smart woman. She has consecrated all her life seriously for her studies and men have no place in her life yet.

Nadine does no more want to stay in the big town. She intends to get a new life.

Amelia, her best friend left and got married. She finds herself alone here, especially after the death of her parents, two years ago.

Nadine intends to sell the manor inherited from her parents, where she stays, and to buy a new house elsewhere where she expects to get a new carrier.

"We need an attorney asap. We are a big law office of a group of five attorneys. We pay generously", this is the advertisement read on the new magazine on line where Nadine uses to search for a position daily.

"WOW! It's perfect!" Nadine exclaims.

She calls immediately when a lady voice responds to her, "Our company is on THE BRIDGE TOWN near the Wilson big children game park."

CHAPTER 03

When she arrives there, she finds an immense edifice made of glass. It seems on fire in this morning where the sky is blue immaculate with a blazing sun. The company contains ten floors.

She enters the headmaster's office where she finds a wide office decorated with luxurious furniture. The furniture wood is mahogany and fits the red carpet that lays on the floor.

"I am David Smith, the head of this company. You have an excellent curriculum indeed. We are not really specialized in human rights and we take different kinds of affairs".

"I am a multidisciplinary attorney and I worked for many lawyers where we undertook different kinds of law affairs," Nadine replies wisely.

David Smith is an old man of eighty. He is still well preserved. He is brown and preserves a long white beard. His right eye is intact, when he gets an artificial left eye.

"Miss.Nadine, welcome in our company and good luck!" he responds with a smile.

"Thank you! Glad to help"! She replies when she notices that on his desk there is an ancient calendar dating from 1939. He still preserves it as a historic decorating document.

Mr.David Smith seems somehow weird.

Chapter 04

Nadine climbs the stairs to be on the tenth floor where there is her new office. On the door of it, it is yet written Nadine Bright Attorney.There is no escalator too.

She enters and finds that her new office resembles Mr.David Smith's one, despite it is decorated in black color.

Albert, her new coworker will accompany her in her office until she will become familiar with the job.

Albert is a blond man with blue eyes and black hair. He is slender and very attractive.

Quickly, Nadine has known that he is married and that his wife Rebecca is her new coworker in this company too.

"You will learn fast your job", he says with a smirk smile.

"We have mostly murder affairs", he adds when he gives her a pile of folders covered with dust.

"I am fast at working.I will study all the cases with my personal judgement according to the contemporary laws", she replies with a generous smile.

"It's perfect! We will review them later. Now I should leave", Albert says with a cold sight.

CHAPTER 05

In the evening, Nadine arrives to her small lent apartment in Bridge town completely exhausted.

She puts off her shoes then she immediately switches on her lap top, and then plugs in the work USB, where she has stored the thirty affairs. Suddenly the laptop switches off spontaneously and the electricity is cut off.

Nadine gets a panic attack then she tries to be cool. She is overwhelmed somehow. She takes her smartphone to lighten the area and finds a message telling,

"Hello, Nadine, I am the one who sent you the flowers at the university". It is signed under the initials : B.B.

She switches on again the electrical generator and then everything is all right.

She goes forward to read the message again that contains an e.mail address. She replies to the message telling, "how do you know my address? Who are you?"

"I was a member of the jury the day of your graduation thesis. You did not notice me.I was in the middle. I was wearing a wing and putting on glasses", B.B replies.

"I fell in love with you at the first sight. You are so beautiful and smart", B.B adds.

"I am afraid You will not share the same feeling with me if you will know me", B.B says.

"Did you like my flowers?" he adds.

"Thank you so much! The bouquet is here decorating my desk. It symbolizes my success. I like that the flowers are artificial and made of velvet fabric so that to be preserved," Nadine replies.

"I am so glad you have preserved my gift, Nadine," he adds.

"I am tired, time to sleep is up", Nadine says.

"Have a good night! We will chat tomorrow", B.B says.

Chapter 06

When she arrives to her office, Nadine meets Albert again. Nadine gives him the summary of the murder affairs.

She says, "I have noticed that all the victims are women. The murder occurred in the same manner and time. All the murders occurred at two pm and the cause of the death is a tea poison and then the corpse was put in the closest. It seems that the criminal is an obsessional".

Albert replies and catches a salve of laughs, "'ha! ha! ha!"

Then he looks closely in her eyes and says, "don't repeat this anymore. OK!"

Nadine is frozen of fear. She doesn't understand what is happening.She assesses again all the crimes and have noticed that the crimes occurred once a year on the 11th October.

Also, mostly all the crimes presented in these affairs, occurred years ago.However, when she is searching in her office, she finds another pile of affairs. These ones seem new.

She finds two empty folders among others. One folder is with the initials B.B and the other with the initials N.B.

"Nadine, come on in my office, please", David Smith says.

"You are a brilliant attorney indeed. Albert has put a good appreciation on your work. You no more need him. You can work alone, Beatrice".

"Beatrice? I am Nadine", she replies.

"Sorry, I mean Nadine", David redeems himself.

"Where are the clients?" Nadine asks.

"Clients come each Monday", he replies.

CHAPTER 07

Nadine seems to see a similarity between Mr.David Smith name and another name but something prevents her to remember.

Her phone rings , quickly she goes on a chat again with Mr.BB,

"Hi! Nadine, I miss you," B.B says in the message.

"Why are you so shy like this? We have been chatting for three months and our relationship does not evolve", Nadine replies.

" I want to meet you tomorrow Sunday at the Wilson park", BB adds.

"I know you will not come.It is like the last time when you didn't come", Nadine replies.

"Look! B.B! You do not want to make any effort to break down your fear.I do not think we will chat any more", Nadine says.

"Please, don't say this. I cannot imagine my world without you", B.B replies.

"Do you trust me? You should if really you love me", Nadine adds.

"I love you a lot and fully trust you but I have a lack of self confidence. I am afraid to meet you and you will no more love me", B.B says.

"BB, You have been repeating this for three months. I should stop for a moment chatting with you. I need to reevaluate our relationship", Nadine says.

"OK! I will miss you a lot, my love", B.B replies.

CHAPTER 08

"Today it is Monday October 11th 2010, we have an appointment with Mrs. Sara Gilbert", Albert says.

"She will meet Mr.David Smith at two PM", he adds.

"Who is she?" Nadine asks

"She is our client. Please, update her folder", he adds.

Nadine finds an empty folder with the initial S.G and the date of October 11th 2010.

She remembers the other folders and check them again. The first one contains the initial N.B and the date of October 11th 2011 and the second one contains the initials B.B with the date October 11th 2012.

Nadine cannot find the link between these last initials and the dates.

She enters Mr.David.Smith's office for further explanations; when she finds a beautiful brown lady with a silky black hair, and wide brown eyes. She is slender and wearing a red suit. Her charming smile is so attractive.

"Hello!" Nadine says.

"Can you come later Nadine, don't you see I am busy with our client?" David Smith says with a severe sight.

Nadine says, "OK! I will come tomorrow morning," she says keeping an eye on the guest and client. The lady is laughing and seems euphoric. She seems to get a big pleasure sipping her tea at two PM.

Chapter 09

It is winter and yet Nadine has been working for six months at Bridge town. Each week end she goes on hiking at the park. It is an immense park that is divided by the town bridge. The superior part constitutes a wide parcel of nature. There are some varieties of trees and exotic plants. The park has a maze form. The trees surround the external side of the maze when many kinds of flowers are planted inside it. It is immense and many people come here to do hiking, biking and sliding.

The inferior side of the park assembles all sorts of children game machines. They are all modern. There is a big roller coaster and even adults come for distraction here. The big wheel is high and immense and dominates the full Bridge town area.

B.B comes here each week end to look at Nadine that doesn't know him in person. Nadine cannot recognize him and takes him for any passenger. Each time he wants to talk to her but something retains him. BB remembers when his mother talked with him when he was ten, "you should get an A. You got a B, what a shame! Your sister is smarter than you".

Suddenly he sees Nadine falling when her foot is stuck in a big stone. He instinctively helps her to get up by holding her arms . She says in a hurry, "Thanks sir!"

CHAPTER 10

One year passed quickly and spring is settled yet. Nadine watches the TV news and she sees the frozen corpse of Mrs. Sara Gilbert found laying on the bridge.

"What? The autopsy has revealed that she died six months ago? She was poisoned?" Nadine says when repeating these words on the news. Her body is trembling and her skin is creeping.

The day after, Nadine leaves the company a quarter of an hour earlier, when someone knocks on her door.

"Hi! Miss Nadine! you have left earlier today," Rebecca notices and her livid face emphasizes her big black eyes.

"I have a headache.Do you need something from me, Rebecca?" Nadine says spontaneously.

"Not especially, I want to let you know that we have wider apartments if you want to be re_logged. The rent is endorsed by our company", she adds.

"Thank you! Rebecca! I will let you know whenever I will change my mind to leave mine", Nadine replies and closes the door after Rebecca departure.

Nadine doesn't sleep the entire night, thinking about the weird crimes taken as judicial affairs by the company. At four AM she exclaims, "what?"

Finally after one year, she understands the link between the initials on the folders, the dates and their relationship with the crimes.

She writes a quick message to B.B, "I am and we both are in danger. My apartment is oversight too".

She keeps all her things and leaves her apartment.

In the car she sees Mrs Rebecca blocking her path to drive and putting her both arms on the hood.

"Where are you going? Miss.Nadine. Your work contract ends on the 11th October 2011", Rebecca says.
