Chapter 34 - CHAPTER 33

He woke up feeling nostalgic about the events of the day. It was his 40th birthday. A dinner was organized by his beautiful and his children played a huge role in it. He had a daughter and two warrior twin sons. The last 9 years of his marriage has been a journey of growth, required changes and peace. He had fallen absolutely in love with the slim pastor's daughter whom he detested her sad countenance and considered ugly. He chuckled as he remembered how much they had overcomes together.

She had her own sorrow but she kept it aside to help him and that act alone broke him. She was grieving, vowed never to love again but she gave me a chance even when he did not deserve it. He was a damaged soul because of a traumatized event of his childhood but he walked through it all because Debby Adedotun his wife, his pride walked beside him.

The birth of their first child brought him to his knees as he worshipped God for his undeserving love right there in the labour room. Natasha as his daughter was called, looked completely like him but just a different sex. Her eyes shone bright as she gazed at him, trapping his right index finger in her palms. His heart melted at such such of love. Indeed, she was loving as her mother, a company he cherished. When she was two years old, they welcomed their twin boys in London. Her mother and Shade travelled with them. His mother being in London helped in caring for them. Mrs Suzzy visited several times and that made his healing complete.

Today he was 40 and grateful. His relationship with his father was good. They communicated without an emotional hurdle between them. He financially honoured his parents regularly as well as Debby's parents. The good Pastor Olatunji has been of tremendous help to him, always supportive, ready to motivate him to be a better father and husband.

As he walked downstairs, he looked at his wife and all he wanted was a private moment alone with her to remind her how much he could devour her and how much she could do same to him. This woman, his woman, gave him a change of heart.
