"I promise I'm NOT GIVING UP, WE'RE NOT GIVING UP." Mark said once more to his troubled wife. "I have a few more people to call and hopefully they'll not cut on me".
He got up from the couch and dialed a number. He didn't only beg Mr. Williston's personal assistant for his personal number, he begged; the Thompson's P.A, The Bruce's P.A and a few more. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Ding...Ding... "Hello, Good evening Mr Thompson" Mr. whites said.
"May I know who this is".... "I'm Mark Whites and I have a proposal that might interest you alot. If you could give me 1 hour and some few minutes of your time tomorrow, I believe you won't regret it.
"Okay, 9:00 sharp..... But I don't remember giving out my number....anyways nevermind, tomorrow. Meet you at 9am". Mr. Thompson replied.
Mark was more than happy he felt like he was floating in space, he gathered himself and spoke again. "Thanks Mr. Thompson you won't regret it. Goodnight".
When the call ended he wasted no time to call the next number on his list, Four of the ones he called afterwards didn't give him a chance at all. Some were angry that he called this late and others because he had their number. Very understandable but he wished they would just hear him out, but he wasn't going to go down without a fight, he called the 5th number.
Ding.....He answered on the first ring, Mark wanted to take that as a good sign, but anyways here goes nothing he thought.
"Hello, Good evening Mr. Bruce"
"yeah good evening, I'm Mark whites and I have a proposal that might just interest you. But it's a little detailed so if you can make time tomorrow I'd really appreciate it".
"Okay at 8:30, would that be fine." Mark replied very quick, ermm if you could make it 10: 30 I would be very grateful.
The other man just replied" mhmm, okay 10:30 it is". The call ended and he felt luck was finally shining on his face.
Elizabeth stood by her husband and gave him a kiss on the cheek and in the loveliest way said "everything will be fine as long as we're together as a family, everything will be just fine".
He took his wife in his arms and carried her to their room. Without that woman he had no hope and without his children he had no purpose.
