"haha, Franklin I guess I'll need your expertise in pulling her down". She had a sly look on her face. " Damn it, you guys don't realise how much of a big deal this is Mom died. She died and I'm not going to see her again. That's what we should all know. Aunty is not going to walk again, no money will help with that. So that's what we should know. I'm so sick of you guys and this naive "red riding hood" plot you're playing. Wake the heck up to a reality where no one gives truly a f**k about you".
"You're so ungrateful you know ??? We've loved you wholeheartedly and you're spouting out this kind of statement. You know what, this proves my point. Some guy broke your heart and you're too prideful and scared to tell anyone, so it's eating you up inside and turning you cold. Enjoy being alone at the top". Micha as usual seemed unfazed but Ivory had tears running down her cheek the whole time. Franklin got up to leave when he was halted in his tracks by an audible voice.
" YOU GUYS ARE JUST MAKING ALL THIS WORSE BY FIGHTING WITH EACH OTHER... we are not fighting against ourselves not even against the whites. We have to identify the problem, seek a solution and move our separate ways if that's what's going to bring peace to all the families. Insults and blame won't do that, so just f**ken stop it.
"Ohh Ivory, you're still naive. But don't worry I'll allow you to be, at least for now. Sooner or later you'll get it to understand all this and when you do we will speak the same language. Until then, let me just say this for your peace of mind. I'm not fighting anyone, at least not yet. I want dad to come back from the trip, all the families will gather and our parents will tell us everything. And if our families are really to blame then...okay".
" So if we're to blame, what happens. Looking at the gravity of this situation a "sorry " won't cut it". Franklin who seemed to have calmed down interjected.
"We will have no other option but to fight back. Whatever our parents did wasn't our fault so.... yeah..... we will fight for our sakes. Sincerely, for what they did to mom and aunty I want to make them all pay 10 folds. Make them feel the same pain she felt when that car rolled over countless times, nausea and pain. The fear and screams, looking at your life slip away slowly whiles blood flows down your face. Your head is bashed by the crash and you look beside you for help but the one to give you is unconscious. That's what I want them to experience but not the worst version of that".
And with that, she rose and left, leaving Ivory and Franklin in dismay.
This is the first time she spoke at length about the accident and she didn't even say much.
The day that accident occurred her dad was supposed to drive that car to work, but she was arguing so much with him about her position in the company. He was late and decided to work from home. If she allowed her dad to go..... her mom and aunt would have taken a different car out. So she partly blames herself.
