Chapter 52 - UA Festival pt.1**

Mr.Aizawa had explained our Participation in the UA sports Festival. Sadly we couldn't wear our hero costumes and were required to wear our P.E. Uniforms. Everything has been a bit of a blur, excitement of the UA sports festival has made everyone anxious.

I finally put on my shirt and stepped into the locker room. Shoto and Izuku stood still and I raised an eyebrow. Shoto shook his head, "That's all I wanted to say."

Shoto walked off and the atmosphere of the room was pretty stagnant. "What was that about?"

Erin whispered to me, "No clue, but I guess you could say Shoto just called Izuku a rival. Some grudge against father and mentor! A bi-"

I covered her mouth and looked at Minoru. "A simpler explanation?"

He nodded, "Shoto was like, From an objective standpoint I am stronger than you!"

Mina added, "Izuku was like, Yeah!"

Minoru continued, "Shoto was then like, However you have All Might in your corner! I don't care what's going on between you two. However, I will beat you and prove myself."

Ejiro shook his head. "I don't understand what is going on with all these declarations of war. First it was Class 1-B. Now it's our fellow students of 1-A!"

"Why was no one declaring war on me? Objectively I'm the strongest, and I'm growing exponentially." I frowned at the clear insult to my very being.

Erin pulled my hand from her mouth, "I'll declare war on you! I was allowed to bring my support gear. Which means I could bring my injector knife! Filled with par-" I covered her mouth again.

Mina nodded, "We need a gag on her or something."

I inspected the stadium as we grouped up by class. Midnight stood on stage as the field announcer. "Let's start with a speech from the top of the hero course! Class 1-A representative Tota Shizen!"

My eyes widened, "Me?"

I heard some whispers, but I walked up without any concern. I thought about what I should say, and then it hit me. I leaned into the microphone, "Several people have declared war on each other amongst the first years. So this is me saying, I declare war! On the entire first year class! Fu-"

Midnight cut the microphone before I finished my speech. "That's enough and mind your language."

I shrugged and walked off the stage. The amount of whispers had increased. I couldn't really care though, I was too busy feeling good about myself. Mina whispered, "At least the attention is on Tota now instead of the rest of us."

Midnight continued, "For the first event! An Obstacle Course! A race to the finish, let's keep an eye on who gets first place! As long as you don't leave the course you can do whatever your heart desires."

Three large cement walls rose and surrounded us. I felt the ground rumble as we were taken to the obstacle course. The walls shifted once more and revealed a doorway. "What should we expect mummy man? What should we be looking for?" Was that present mic?

Mr.Aizawa's voice carried through the stadium. "How did you talk me into this? To answer your question, the doorway."

I snapped toward the passage, people were already rushing through it. This was the first obstacle, a small gate that blocked people from rushing through. I could already see some of my classmates skipping ahead. Shoto froze half the passage, but I didn't see any of 1-A frozen though.

I jumped above the crowd and landed against the wall of the doorway. I followed the middle of the pack. I watched Minoru actually run across the ice pretty well. Though I almost snorted when a zero score robot from the entrance exams showed up and smacked Minoru into a wall. My plan to stay in the middle fell apart when Shoto froze the robots. I jumped straight over the collapsing ice statues. I let out a small burst of heat to land on unfrozen ground.

I peeled Minoru off the wall and began charging forward again. Katsuki flew past me shouting, "Get back you frosty nerd!"

I absorbed the heat from his blasts and used it to melt a path in the ice for myself. I blinked when I saw Mina skate forward, "Why did you grab that squirrel?"

"How did you get past the bots?"

She smirked, "I followed you." She pointed behind me and I saw several other students. Mostly class 1-A. When we got off the ice almost all of them sped up using me as a shield. Since the small bots would melt when coming near me I was the perfect dummy.

Thankfully they wouldn't be able to do that anymore. I came up to the second major obstacle. A massive pit with wires connecting them. I just kept running, when I got to the edge I jumped. With each jump I landed easily on the next platform.

I saw Shoto creating ice bridges that crumbled behind him and Katsuki just blasting forward. Looking behind me I could see Tsu actually making a lot of headway here as well as Tenya. Though I saw faces I knew less of though. There was a guy that I noticed though who seemed to be using people as minions. I took note of him and looked ahead of me again.

The next obstacle stopped me as those who were in front had slowed. Shoto and Katsuki the idiots were fighting ahead of me. I clicked my tongue and let out a sigh. I ignored all warning signs and bolted for the finish line. With each step I absorbed the power of each explosion. Though I couldn't seem to absorb everything from the mines.

A giant explosion sounded behind me and I saw Izuku firing forward like a bottle rocket. I clicked my tongue again and held Minoru up. "Hey, Are you awake?"

Minoru blinked, "Uh…. Please don't do whatever Midoriya just did."

I smirked, "Call it a gut feeling, but I don't want to get first place here. It's why I grabbed you."

Minoru blinked, "Wh-What?"

I smirked, "I'm going to throw you, you get first place. If any of the next rounds are team based you become a part of my team."

Minoru nodded and that was all the confirmation I needed. Izuku, who was ahead of the minefield, was beginning to near the finish line. That was until I fired Minoru with all my strength. I heard Present Mic yell. "WOW! Would you look at that throwing arm! It seems Tota Shizen decided to sacrifice his chance at first place. Though I felt he was dilly dallying all throughout the obstacle course. I mean look at him just walking toward the finish line!"

I just smirked, the course was to show off your quirk. Get noticed by heroes and stuff like that. My instinct? A 6th sense maybe? It didn't really matter, but my gut told me the race itself wouldn't matter much. So I used Minoru to still get first place and show a relaxed, carefree attitude. Some might not think first place belonged to me, but more would come to see it did the more I showed off.
