Anna tried to read the letter, but just as she was about to open it, she heard footsteps heading to her location. She immediately folded the small envelope and hid it in her pocket, while trying to look relax as much as possible.
The footsteps were getting louder. She also heard a muffled conversation too. It seemed to be Elias and Isagani talking. Anna wanted to exit from the other side of the maze, but realized that the dogmen might've already gotten a scent of him. Keeping herself calm, she fixed her hair and stood at one of the pillars, acting somber while staring at the list of names.
"You have to kee—" Isagani paused as he saw her standing by the black stones.
"What did you say, Gani? Keep? Oh!" Elias got nudged by Isagani as the big man continued to chatter without noticing her.
"Oh, hello guys!" Anna awkwardly greeted.
"W-what are you doing here?" Isagani squinted his eyes. "And why do you look so pale?" His brow wrinkled.
