Something that always stuck with Apollo, regardless of whether he had been thinking about it or not, was never his mother, or the people that forgot about him.
It wasn't even any of the people that caused him pain, or the ones he hated.
In reality, it was Karn.
Apollo still couldn't understand.
How could someone place so little value in their life? To the point where they would declare it as one's own fault for being born?
For a reason he didn't really understand, thinking about that reminded him of the time he pressed the blade of a knife up to his neck.
Apollo felt anger.
But it wasn't anger towards the others, or the people that have wronged this world.
What he hated was how resigned to one's fate people could be.
That they would just give up when faced with injustice, like their life had no meaning or value.
