For a week Janet took the rest on her home. On the weekend she went to supermarket to buy some fresh fruits and vegetables. When she was in counter someone called her from behind,"Janet"
She instinctively looked back when she heard her name. Jordan was smiling when she looked back so she also smiled at him in return.
Jorden was also her classmate in high school.
"I heard that you were admitted in the hospital." Jordan speak with worried tone.
Janet was kind of surprised because she and he had never been in contact.
"I was told by Andrew" Jorden clarifies himself sensing the surprise in Janet's eyes.
Janet slightly nodes her head in acknowledgement.
When they were out of the supermarket Janet remembered something and she looked at Jorden before she speak, "Can you give me, Aaron's number?" she sounded somewhat awkward.
"Sure", Jorden replied sensing the awkwardness of Janet.
Giving a light smile he took out his phone from his pocket.
Janet has just saved Aaron number when Jorden mobile phone rang, Janet saw that it was Aaron's call.
Before Jorden could pick up the phone the phone was cut off and the two people heard the sound of footsteps coming towards their way. Both of them instinctively turn their heads toward the sound and saw a handsome man in his mid twenties is coming towards then.
Jorden was quiet surprised to see this fellow who
was just calling him now is here right now. He looked at Janet and gave a meaningful smile to his friend.
Aaron also noticed his friend's smile but he ignored him; "Let's go " was the only word he spoke as if Janet wasn't even there.
Janet also didn't feel anything wrong and showed no signs of being ignored as if it is nature of him.
Jorden became quite observing their tactic understanding who has already became ready to speak at the end he didn't say anything and looked towards Janet and nodded his head. Janet also nodes her head towards Jorden and looks toward Aaron, "Mr. Davis, Thank you for taking me to the hospital".
Janet speaks in hurried tone as Aaron have already took two step further.
Listening to her words Aaron stops in his track and turns his head and looks at Janet who also sincerely looks at Aaron.
Aaron just gives a light humm as if he has acknowledged her sincerity.
Janet also steps forward.
She pulls out a cheque from her bag and hands the cheque to Aaron,"Thank you for saving me that day and thank you for paying my hospital bills, I would like to return the amount you paid in the hospital please accept this"
Aaron just accept the cheque and without saying any words strides towards his car.
Janet wasn't surprised by his this behaviour because she has never seen him interacting with peoples in school he only use to talk to his friends.
Her stance to Aaron is disconnected by the male voice who also follows Aaron. "See you next time"
Janet also waves back to Jorden and gives a light smile.
When Janet reached her apartment it is already more than 3pm. So, she cook herself noodles since she was feeling hungry, when she was about to eat noodles she heard a click sound from her door.
She wasn't shocked at all since she knows who is that person so she just quietly ate her noodles.
The other party didn't come even when she finished all her noodles so she became a little doubtful so she just took a step when other person come in front of Janet from the passage and make a "Boooo" sound but there is no surprise on Janet's face and she simply turned around.
Why are you never shocked? Milly grumbles as she follows Janet to the kitchen, Milly sweeps her eyes to the dining table and sees a bowl with a little soup and some noodles sticks.
"You...?"
Milly has just uttered a word when Janet glanced back at Milly.
"Sister Janet, you were eating noodles?, when I came here? Milly asked with a smile on her face which wasn't looking genuine.
Janet just gave a light "Umm?" and turned again.
"Why didn't you call me then? I was hiding behind that wall".
"I didn't saw you there" Janet spoke nonchalantly.
Although Milly went on a date with her boyfriend they didn't get to eat food as one of her boyfriend's friend became sick and he have to left.
So, Milly came to Janet's house in hope to eat something and to meet Janet.
Janet was teasing Milly, so she just put out some noodles packet from her cabinet and placed them on the table.
You can have some, by saying these Janet went to the living room and started cleaning her floor.
After cooking a bowl of noodles for herself, she came to the living room, placing her bowl in the tea table, she asked, "Do you meet the person who helped you?"
After cleaning the floor Janet has also sat down on the sofa with her laptop.
"Yes, I met him today and returned the money"
"How do the two of you know eachothers?" Milly asked somewhat in anticipation that she would get some spice of Janet's life and although she was focusing on eating noodles she has opened her ears and make them pointy in order to not miss out a single letter skipped from Janet's mouth.
"We were classmates in our high school "
"We were of same level but his class was different from mine" Janet told Milly about Aaron and her.
Milly was quiet not satisfied with this result so again asked, " Did the two of you date before?"
