Chereads / R. G. Harriet / Chapter 8 - 8

Chapter 8 - 8

The one who had the honor to choose a café was Clyde, because I did not pay too much attention to my friends. After leaving the hospital, only one thought was in my head. I don't know if it's good or bad, but I still can't get rid of it. It's hard for me to concentrate. 'Is something going to happen to me?' I keep asking myself. I had to take care of myself all the time. And now there are four guys who care about me. The Mouse is my childhood hero. Pich is a guy you can talk to and he'll always understand you. Nick - he's actually in love with me. Or maybe the books I'm creating? Probably that's it. And Clyde is the first I've ever met in this city. Kitty? A guy with a car...

"What are you daydreaming about? Do you think Clyde will pick a good café?" Nick came up to me. I shrugged my shoulders.

" Who knows? I've only known him for three weeks. Don't forget that. You have to know better." I said, turning to him. Blue eyes, curly blond hair. Good guy, but not for me. I wouldn't know what to talk to him about. Horrible! What am I thinking?! Rose, get your shit together. You have to finish writing a book. But when everyone finds out I'm a writer, I'm going to need help, and those four guys... Who are they to me? Then again... That dizziness... I grabbed Nick by the arm and I stopped suddenly, raising my head up.

" Rose, what happened?" said Nick, terrified.

" I just need to sit down for a moment." I said and when I saw the bench, I went to sit down. I close my eyes, I open my eyes. I close my eyes hard again, I don't know what's happening to me. Looks like I can't see anything. But the next moment I see it again. I don't seem to be talking, but suddenly I'm talking again.

"Rose?" another voice is heard. Not Mouse, not Clyde, not Nick and not Pich. It's another person. He's right beside me or in front of me. "Rose, are you all right?" I now know who he is. The one person which can't ever be replaced. I haven't seen him in years. A person who is the first one to know if something in my life isn't right. Salty tears began to roll out of my eyes. I can see him again. Here, right in front of me. I hugged my dad and didn't let go until the moment he stopped crying.

"Well, isn't it enough?" he gently asked. As a little kid, I nodded. He doesn't really look like my dad. You'd say brother or boyfriend. "Rose, who are they?" looked at the four guys.

"Friends." I said with a smile.

"Friends? I never thought my little Rose would make friends. And then when you stopped being friends with Alexander." dad said.

"Rose, who's this guy?" Mouse looks closely at dad.

"Clyde, Nick, Pich, Mouse. This is my dad." I said, and the guys looked away. "Dad, it's Clyde, Nick, Pich and Mouse."

"It's their nicknames or real names?" asked my dad."

"Well I my mane is Clyde. But before then I was 'kid with a car'." Clyde said playfully.

"I don't know how, but Rose knew my name right away, even before I had a chance to introduce myself. I'm Nick."

" Dad do you remember the guy who kept writing letters to me? It's him," I said.

"That thing? I'm going to break his bones!" my dad said, but I stopped him by the hand.

"Don't, he knows everything. " I said and he nodded in agreement.

"Well, if that's what you want."

" And as for me, Rose calls me by a nickname. I'm Friedrich Alexander Pery."

" Is it the same Pery who wound the 'Boo and couch' without rules with my Rose?"

"Who are these 'Boo and couch'?" Nick asked not understanding.

"Eh... We couldn't want to..." I interrupted The Mouse.

"They don't have to know that!" I screamed and continued introducions. "Well, there's still Pich."

"I'm Itan. So Rose came up with this nickname. Just please don't ask how it came about."

"You know, two weeks ago here were race and I kind of took a part there and won. And because, as I understood, Pich was used to winning first place here, he raised his voice a little. Well, not a little, but anyways.... I was thinking of calling him Psychic, but I thought it was better for Pich, without much resemblance. "

"You came up with that pretty well." praised dad, and I smiled.

"Now that Rose is feeling better, so maybe Mr. Golen would like to go with us to some café?" asked Clyde. "And Rose shouldn't be in the hospital?" dad asked suspiciously.

"Dad, you know there was such a mistake. The nurses mixed the sheets of my note and another patient's note. I'm not sick of anything. As the Doctor said, I just experience too much stress."

" What about your book?"

"It's almost over. And, Dad, I got another news for you. With this book... I will... well make my face known." I smiled as I tried to cheer myself up.

" Well, that's about a time," my dad hugged me. "Guys, call me Taylor. You said you were going to the café? Can I find out which one?"

" Clyde, you answer." The Mouse turned to Clyde.

"Do you know a café like 'Barbadosa'? That's where I'm going to take my friends."

" That's how I know that coffee shop. It's a really good choice." Dad rarely praises any of his own cafes. "Rose, what happened?"

"Dad, you yourself know what I'm thinking about. You rarely praise your cafes." I said, turning to Clyde. "You surprised me with your choice. But maybe let's go already? I'm starting to feel hungry."

"I agree with you. Let's go." my dad agreed.
