[This city is full of criminals and the insane,] he thought
While walking towards the ruined Luner circle castle, Alden contemplated.
*tat* *tat* *tat* *tat* *tat* His boots, echoes throughout the castle..
[these rich citizens fear the church enough to hide their activities, but don't respect the place their action is conducted.]
[nor respect the one in charge of the city.]
[.... it really is unfair] He shook his head.
As the days goes by, Alden's mental state is getting used to seeing things like that. He thought he could adopt a facade to win over people who would at least tread around him and his family's name. He thought at least they could keep their crimes fair and understandable, but he was wrong.
Most of the people who are vigilant about the authority of the city lord are merely the poor and the titled nobles who could not get a better deal elsewhere to sell their goods or live without proper consequences. Even the city general, an Intermediate Knights, takes bribes with no fear. These actions lead to discomfort and hatred.
*sigh* he sounds, Alden arrived at his destination, a hidden chamber that he had discovered recently. He stopped. There is a broken door in front of him. As he faced the broken door. He entered, making his way towards the back of the ruined castle.
[it just goes to show]
[whether you're from earth or this world]
[humans are selfish and cruel, Alden thought.
Since some things are not going the way he wanted, Alerting no powerhouse, he plans to isolate the entire city from the outside world step by step. He may seem careless and free, but he, like any other power-hungry individual, refused to submit and let an opportunity like becoming the duke of an entire dukedom slip from his grasp.. if he cannot even deal with an onslaught of disrespect within a little city like summer city then he might as well just give up his secret plans of killing the Von farrow family one by one. He is heading to the answer and the tool that he had collected to achieve that.
The Apothecary guild, with no doubt, is a variable. He still would proceed with it. An opportunity always presents itself midst of chaos, right?. He's bound to make something of himself if he stood still and let the Apothecary guild do as they wished.
*tat* *tat* *tat* *tat* *tat* are the sound he made as Alden reaches the deepest part of the ruined castle. He looked around at the corner of the hall of the castle. A pool of bloodstain could be seen. It's the blood of the demon Leon and the thief he had killed...
[Looks like demon Leon wasn't important enough to send someone to investigate his death.] He thought.
*VOOOOOM* Alden's body vibrated. He smiled and spoke.
'They caught another one'
'Let's see how big is it'
He quicken his pace, heading towards the locked chamber at the bottom of the castle. It is a hidden chamber that has the size of a football field. He discovered it by accident. He thought it was pointless to use it because of its size and how much damage the place suffered. In the middle of the chamber is a hole that could fit an entire airplane and still have enough space.
Intrigued by it, he wondered what sort of machine or creature create this hole, and who was the previous owner of this castle. Why create a hole under the castle? Alden's curiosity grows and investigated this matter, and although there wasn't much to be discovered, Alden had found a use for the hidden chamber. A use that will save him from any danger or turn a situation in his favor.
As he thought about what was happening inside the hidden chamber, he became excited. He was not in his shadowed form. His velvet attire matches his clothing style. He prefers it over the usual trend of all young nobles' clothes that depict charms.
He did not care whether Lucas was opposed to his selection of style. All he cared about is how he likes it. Besides, it was his credit that he had spent on purchasing it from the system,
*BANGGGGGGGG*
*BANGGGGGGGG*
*BANGGGGGGGG*
*RAWWWWW* he arrived at the hidden chamber, a door made of metallic safe, a vault a lot similar to the one they use in a modern world bank that housed millions of dollars. Alden installed this door. It cost little credit to purchase because of the material he provided. All the system need to do was to assemble it together with magic.
*BANGGGGGGGG*
*BANGGGGGGGG*
'Lox captured a big one this time
'system the door'
*DING"
At the center of the vault was a handle a lot similar to an olden pirate ship steering handle, rotating left and right, a sound of unlocking,
*click* *clack*
The vault opened inwards towards the inside. No time to waste.
*FEWWWWWW* Alden bolted inside it, the vault behind slowly closed, the only light that existed was the only one when he open the vault, but as he ran fast and the vault closed, no shred of light is in sight,
*Siiiiiiiiiiiii*
*BANGGGGGGGG* Alden hears a hissing sound of a snake, even while his completely surrounded by darkness. Alden can see clearly, a deep chasm in a narrow straight path. If anyone were to see this path, they could only say that a giant creature had created it, a giant worm with countless sharp teeth and strong enough to make this steep path with ease.
At his first discovery of this path, Alden was very much sure that a creature similar to a centipede dug this path. He thought no human of this world could create something like this. Even if a human is capable, there would be no point in wasting many resources in making it.
