A thin man beside him replied, "Chieftain, it seems they got the news of our numbers. We can't be sure but it seems they might know that we are coming."
"Hmm, It was expected of them." He said calmly. The men besides were all turned to him after hearing him. He was quite tall with a sturdy body and his deep voice reached everybody present there. He was the Chieftain of the Isu tribe.
"If we were granted the victory today, then we will reign over these mountain lands for years to come."
He held a dagger in his hand, picked from his waist. He continued, "But tonight, we feast in their village with their heads stuck on sticks." He was checking the sharpness of the blade.
He stood up and walked past those who were seated.
Then he turned towards them. All of them were now looking at him.
There were multiple groups with their own fire. The number may be around 500 to 800. And they were all men who were bare-chested with only limited clothing. They were living here for many years for as long as they remember. Somehow this tribe has immune to this climate and its chilly wind.
Normal humans can't survive much longer if they stayed here. These cold winds will freeze their bodies and kill them.
All these tribal land people don't use magic but unknown to them, it was the magical energy that helps them. Everyone was born with mana in them. It was very rare for a person to be born without mana.
Although they don't know magic chants or any spells to use mana in their bodies, unknowingly the mana in there was being utilized whenever they fought.
It's like a mechanism that works automatically for them. As they do not have much knowledge of magic, so they do not know about this.
This Isu tribe also formed an affinity with cold winds here and was immune to these chilly winds.
Chieftain Sner of the Isu tribe was the leader. The warrior's number was up to 300 or so and other men were all just villagers and men who worked in fields. He gathered all the men of his tribe here and was prepared to attack the Solvwulf tribe.
Just by looking at their tense faces, one can tell that they were not ready to come here. They had no choice but to come here. Only a few of the warrior men near the Chieftain looked composed and was ready to go.
Because Sner threatened them, to kill or be killed.
The night was approaching and soon the light faded.
Sner was holding an axe which was big. He was standing on the cliff watching down, far in the woods, he could see a few lights that were burning very faintly.
"Men, let's go." He said raising his hand which held the axe.
He led the men down the mountain. There was no clear path, it was just full of rocks and rough paths. As the night just came in, the path was very hard to walk.
Sner and others slowly moved through, stopping at a few intervals.
The hilly mountain area was not easy to climb down. They were no definite path for them to walk, they just had to make one and continue going down. As it was night, it was even more troubling to move forward but they had to go. Chieftain Sner wouldn't leave anyone who disobeys his orders.

The village was quietened down with all the people sleeping. Not much light could be seen as they didn't have torch sticks outside.
It was past midnight.
Complete silence, not even an insect's sound was heard. It was like there was nothing there.
Sner and his men were just a couple of meters from the village. They could see the village. They slowly approached the village with light steps.
Sner observed the village and a big smile appeared on his face.
They reached the houses.
Seeing that no one was responding, Sner was grinning with a big smile.
He made gestures with his hands to follow him slowly into the village. They all tiptoed until they reached the village.
"Men! let's spill plenty of blood tonight!" He shouted loud enough to everybody.
