Chapter 28 - The Jealous Sofia

"It's not that I don't think Sofia is good, but do you still remember the elf that little Alan took away in front of us a month ago? Isn't that girl much more beautiful than Sofia, and her figure is also great, hahaha..." When it came to figures, he even gave a wretched smile as the others also thought of that elf girl.

Indeed, she looked younger than Sophia, and her face and figure were flawless.

Listening to the discussion between Wayne and the others, Alan could not help but compare Sophia with Orina in his mind. Yes, Orina was the winner!

As his thoughts drifted away, he remembered what happened after he got drunk that night. He unconsciously squeezed his hands, as if he could still feel the touch of that night, and then laughed foolishly.

"If you dare to think of anything improper again, I'll turn you into an ice sculpture immediately!" Sophia gritted her teeth and the warning that came out of her throat instantly brought Alan back to his senses.

He immediately put on a serious face, looked at her cold hands, and smiled ingratiatingly.

Wayne and the others saw this scene and thought that the two were flirting. They couldn't help but clench their teeth and suck in a breath of cold air.

Alan was glared at by Sophia, and an awkward smile appeared on his face. He thought to himself, 'Don't stare at me. It's not like I said it. I'm also a victim.'

Sophia was so angry that she kept sneering and almost threw an ice spell at him.

"Don't you guys feel a little cold all of a sudden..."Knapp suddenly shivered.

"Damn, Knapp, you didn't get squeezed dry by Linda, did you? Why are you so weak..." Mauricio teased.

"If little Alan is targeted by Sophia, at her age, even if little Alan is young, he shouldn't be able to hold on for long..." Wayne's mutter completely ignited Sophia's forcefully suppressed anger.

She stood up immediately...

"Sophia, calm down, calm down. For my sake, don't be angry..." When Alan saw that Sophia was about to throw out her ice spell, he realized for the first time in his life that he could react so fast. His upper body was lying on the bar counter while he tightly held onto the clothes on her left shoulder.

At this time, Dorje also reacted. At such a close distance, even Alan could hear them, let alone a powerhouse like Sophia. He immediately took out two gold coins to pay for the drinks and pulled Wayne out of the tavern quickly.

The remaining three saw that their companions fled so they did not care about their image and fled in a sorry state.

Seeing that they all left, Alan finally took a deep breath. In the next moment, his sense of danger warned him that he would die!

"Can you let go now, huh!?" Sophia's cold voice, which was suppressing her anger, rang out from the top of Alan's head.

He looked up stiffly and slowly. First, he saw the emerald-green dress that wrapped around her slim waist, then a pair of plump balls. Then, his pupils constricted as he saw her shoulders were exposed.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it!" Alan instantly let go of his hand. The situation just now was critical but his pounce to stop her tore Sophia's clothes off her shoulders.

At this time, Sophia's face was flushed red. It was unknown whether she was angry or embarrassed.

Alan knew that he did something wrong, so he stood obediently by the bar, waiting for her decision.

Sophia tidied up her clothes and elegantly sat back down on the chair. Alan felt that he escaped a fate of death.

"Sophia..." Alan secretly raised his head and glanced at the cold-faced female elf.

He found that she did not even look at him. She only glanced at Alan with disdain, waiting to see what he was going to say.

Alan felt her coldness and thought of ways to break the awkward situation.

"Sofia, you're kind of weird today."Alan stammered, not daring to look at her.

"Huh!?" It was still a response that she squeezed out of her throat.

Alan's heart was beating a little. He did not know if he would be in a better situation after saying it. "It's just that you're weirdly pretty today..."

Because of these words, the air between the two of them seemed to have become heavier. Alan could already feel her scrutinizing gaze sweeping over him, but he did not dare to look her in the eye.

When Sophia heard the young man's praise, she was stunned for a moment, then her face was filled with disdain and doubt. The tip of her ears, which were already red, now looked like it was about to drip blood as she scrutinized the uneasy young man opposite her.

Until Sophia felt that the young man was extremely tense, she finally replied in a cold voice, "You mean, I'm only pretty today?"

When Alan heard that, he was stunned. He raised his head and looked at her in shock. Why did this female elf not follow the usual pattern? He didn't know what to do after that...

"Hmph, the flattering words of a human male are indeed extraordinary," Sofia said disdainfully as she looked at the young man who was pinned to the ground by a single sentence. She did not hide the disdain on her face at all.

For Alan, who had lived two lives, the scene before him was like hell. His attempt at breaking the ice was despised so much that he could not raise his head. An awkward atmosphere surrounded him.

He had heard before that as long as one was good-looking, anything they say would be forgiven. In the end, not only was he despised, the scene became even more awkward.

"Am I not handsome enough in Sofia's eyes?" Alan could not help but ask himself.

"Children should dedicate their efforts to learning. Don't learn rubbish skills from those useless adults." Sofia drank her wine and said nonchalantly. Alan's heart skipped a beat. As expected, she was holding a grudge...

"Mister Wayne and the others are quite nice. Maybe they got used to it when they were mercenaries. They can't keep their mouths shut, but they don't look at you that way in their hearts," Alan quickly explained.

He didn't know which of his words provoked Sophia again, but her body emitted cold air again. This time, the glass in her hand finally didn't escape the fate of being broken.

With a bang, the goblet that was almost frozen shattered into pieces. The red wine in the goblet spilled onto Sophia's fair hand.

Sophia, who was about to get angry, was also at a loss because of this small episode. After all, glass was something that had never existed in the Hailar continent before. How could she compensate for it...

"Is your hand okay? Quickly wipe it clean and see if it was pierced by the glass..." Alan was anxious when he saw that the glass broke in her hand. He was worried that she would hurt her hand, and it was almost impossible to wash red wine off her clothes.

When Sofia was in a daze, Alan pulled her hand that was wet from the red wine. He carefully wiped it with a handkerchief while he was focused on checking if the delicate hand was injured.

When she saw that the young man was focused and worried, her body went numb. It was as if she was hit by the lowest level of lightning magic. Her face was at a loss.

"I, I'm fine. A small glass is not enough to hurt me." Sofia reacted and quickly pulled her hand back.

Alan looked at her blankly. He suddenly remembered that the elf in front of him was not like him. She was an intermediate magic grandmaster and was very powerful. A small piece of glass would not be able to hurt her that easily.

Therefore, he let out a sigh of relief. He felt a little shy about making a fuss over nothing. He rubbed the back of his head and smiled. "Well, it's good that you're fine. Sit on the side first. I'll clean up here and get you another cup."
