Chereads / My Five Masters Are Way Too Beautiful / Chapter 9 - Murder in the Brothel

Chapter 9 - Murder in the Brothel

After Laylen's temperament and appearance had completely changed, a few of his followers hurriedly ran into the alley.

However, they found that there was no trace of a young man in the alley, only a middle-aged man with a dispirited face.

"Where is he?"

They looked at each other and saw confusion in each other's eyes.

Then, magical power surged from one of them as he stepped on the walls on both sides of the alley. He went up to the highest point of the alley and looked down at the surrounding streets.

However, there was no one on the street.

The young man who had just walked out of the mayor's mansion seemed to have just disappeared into thin air.

"Hey, did you see a young man walking into this alley just now? Where did he go?" At this moment, someone asked Laylen, who appeared to be a dispirited middle-aged man.

Laylen raised his hand and pointed at the road leading to the street in front of him. He said, "I saw the shadow of someone running in that direction, but I don't know where he went."

"Give chase!"

After getting the whereabouts of the 'escapee', the martial artist on the high wall shouted. Then, he took the lead and stepped forward, instantly disappearing into the alley. At the same time, a few tier 2 experts on the ground followed closely behind, brushing past Laylen.

After the few of them left, Laylen reversed and entered the main road. At this time, his appearance changed yet again, becoming someone completely different again. His long gray hair fluttered in the wind.

After about three minutes, the warrior who was running along the high wall sensed that something was wrong, and he hurriedly landed on the ground.

The group got confused. "What's wrong?"

The man's expression was ugly. "That middle-aged man is the person who came out of the mansion! There are no other footprints on the ground. We were tricked!"

The few of them came to a sudden realization. However, when they returned to the alley, the dispirited middle-aged man had already disappeared.

...

"William Dodd, son of the leader of the blazing fire mercenary group. He is a lecherous man and likes to visit brothels. He spends most of his time here."

At the same time, Laylen was standing in the crowd and recalling the information he had been given in his mind. The corners of his mouth curled into a smile.

Then, he strode forward.

At the door, a few coquettish women were attracting men to come and go.

When Laylen walked over, a coquettish woman with heavy makeup immediately came up to him. "Sir, come on in, and let's have fun!"

Laylen smiled slightly. He took out three gold coins from his palm and said with a smile, "Tell me, is William here with you? As long as you tell me that he is here, these will be yours."

The flirtatious woman pursed her lips and tried to put on a flirtatious look. "Sir, we can't divulge so much about others, and especially since Young Master William's identity is special. We can't tell you so easily."

"Ten gold coins. This is enough for you to buy yourself out of here," Laylen took out another seven gold coins.

"Hehehe..." a greedy look flashed in the woman's eyes. She took Laylen's hand and quietly put the gold coins into her own hand. Then, she breathed out into Laylen's ear and whispered the room where William was.

After Laylen entered, the woman continued to recruit other passers-by.

Inside the hall, the smell of gaudy perfume was very strong. Men and women were hugging and grabbing together, and there was a lusty atmosphere in the air.

Laylen did not pay attention to these things. Instead, he went straight to the VIP room on the fifth floor.

The VIP room was naturally a place that only people with money and power could stay in. There were two bodyguards outside the door.

The two bodyguards saw Laylen coming up and wanted to stop him, but they were casually put out with a simple wave from Laylen. Two spells instantly knocked them out.

He came to the door of a room and heard heavy breathing coming from inside. Laylen did not hesitate. He immediately raised his foot and kicked the door open.

His gaze fell on a man on the bed. The man had a blanket wrapping around him, only his head was exposed.

The expression on his face was filled with indescribable anger.

"Who the hell are you?! How dare you interrupt me!"

William's anger could be imagined when he was interrupted at the most critical moment. At this moment, he wanted nothing more than to tear this strange man in front of him into pieces.

"Are you William?" Laylen ignored the man's anger and asked.

"Why don't you scram if you know it's me? You're courting death!" William roared hysterically.

"It's fine as long as it's you," Laylen nodded.

In the blink of an eye, Laylen had arrived beside William.

The moment Laylen's aura erupted, William sensed that something was wrong. However, this was when he was at his weakest, and there was no time for him to dodge anything.

Laylen stretched out his index finger and pressed it against William's forehead. A gray flame rose and turned into a sharp arrow, burning William's brain.

William couldn't figure out why someone would dare to kill him openly in the valley of Vader City. After all, his father was the leader of a mercenary group.

The man's body fell on the bed without a sound.

"Ah!" A woman's terrified scream came from under the quilt.

Laylen only glanced at the woman, then turned around and left the room.

The moment he left the room, his appearance instantly changed again, and the aura on his body was completely different from before.

Just as he was going back downstairs, he ran into the guards who were rushing over, and they brushed past each other.

Vaguely, Laylen heard the guards say, "D*mn it, catch the man who has the balls to cause trouble here!"

Hearing these words, Laylen shook his head in his heart and smiled disdainfully.

After leaving the brothel, he rushed to the next house without stopping.

If the son of the mercenary group leader, William Dodd, was fond of womanizing and indulging in debauchery, then the son of the gold-tier adventurer, Connor, was the complete opposite.

Connor had always been interested in martial arts since he was young. He was not interested in women and had always been diligent in training himself, even if it was not magic, that his father had always taught him to use.

Ever since he had followed his father to Vader City, on the border of the Borodin Kingdom, he had fallen in love with the Gladiator Arena here.

Every day, he would immerse himself in life-and-death battles with all kinds of gladiators.

Basically, Connor would be in the arena of Vader City every day.

The Gladiator Arena of Vader City was not built by the people of Vader City. Instead, it was a branch arena from an organization based outside the city. It was said that the organization that owns the arena is very powerful. There were at least tier 6 Saint-like experts backing it.

They did not express their views on the fact that Vader City was about to switch hands. It did not matter to them who the mayor was. As long as the new mayor did not stop them from making money, it was fine.

When Laylen arrived at the arena, it was already crowded.

The fierce customs of the north meant that people here liked to watch this kind of fight between flesh and blood.

Those who came here to watch had to pay a certain amount of money.

Of course, they could also bet on the matches.

Some would win themselves pretty ladies, and some would lose everything and become laborers.

Some would even end up becoming gladiators themselves.
