I got home and went straight to my room. I laid the strange book on my bed and judged whether I would read it or not. My guts said no, but my brain said yes. I opened the book with slight hesitation, there was nothing written on it. Why would they put a book in a library with nothing written on it? what a drag.
I closed the book again, feeling a slight relief now that I knew nothing bad was in it. I some how couldn't stop thinking about the book, I had so many questions and I wanted answers. Was was nothing written on it in the first place? Why was is on the restricted section? So i decided to do some research, find the answers to all my questions. I tried searching on any we possible. There was nothing. Absolutely nothing. It started to get late so I went to bed.
The next morning all I had in mind was going to the library. I needed to ask about the book, the librarian would have to know. I got ready, ate breakfast. I rode my bike to school and headed inside. I skipped first period to go to the library, I entered and saw the librarian reading a book. She's always read the same book, everyday. I've always found it strange. Could she really be that obsessed with that book?
I stopped thinking about the situation and moved on, I headed over to the librarian taking the book out of my bag. I handed her the book and asked "Um, what's this book about and why does it have nothing written on it?" The librarian looked at me in shock, she said "where did you find this book?" I answered to her question "I found it on the restricted section..." she just stared at me. She handed the book to me again "don't come back" she said.
After that I had even more questions, I couldn't stop thinking about the book. The day finished and I went back home. I opened up the book once again, searching if there was any clues about how to use it.
I opened up the first page again and started staring at the page more closely. I started to notice some letters appearing on the page out of nowhere. All the letters started to spell out "manual of book." More and more letters kept appearing. Until the first page was obviously a manual for something, I started to read the manual.
MANUAL OF BOOK.
1. Open book
2. Write down a wish
3. Task will appear
4. Complete the task to obtain
your wish.
I couldn't tell if this was some kind of joke or not. Could I have read wrong? The manual has said it can make my wishes come true? I closed the book again thinking it was a dumb fantasy book.
