Els P.O.V:
El rushed into the lobby of the hospital. Cadrian had told her that only a select few of Enson's family members were allowed to stay with him, but Erza had been found. Surely they wouldn't keep her from seeing her sister.
"Luna, goddess, you are way too fucking fast for a pregnant woman! Please try to see reason!" Keskian begged as he entered.
"Erza..." She paused not really sure how to address her little sister. Should she call her by their last name or should she ask for Howl? "Howl!" She accidentally shouted on a whim. The man behind the desk looked up at her. He seemed surprised.
"Yes, Luna? What do you need?" He asked.
"No I'm here for Erza Howl! She's my little sister and-"
"Oh! Enson's mate, right? Yeah no I'm sorry I thought you were trying to get my attention. She is in Enson's room." He smiled gently at her. "She was brought into the Emergency room department but upon examination was determined to be perfect condition. Well... at least physically. There may be some psychological issues after what happened." He stopped as his face fell and tears started to well up in his eyes. "And...Enson...." He bit his lip as he closed his eyes tight as if willing away the terrible thought he had. "I can give you the name of a youth psychiatrist, if you'd like? " His bright smile fell as he told El that her sister may be traumatized.
"I think I will let the Howls make that call. I live in the pack house and Erza stays-"
"With us. I understand. However you do still have primary custody of Erza." Just then, a woman El had only seen from a distance stumbled into the lobby. She was dazed and seemed to be struggling under the weight of her own grief. "Mom!" the man called out. "What's happened? Is he...." He stopped short as if he could not bring himself to even ask what he feared but needed an answer to.
Mrs. Howl brought her hands up and pain twisted her face as she let out a heart wrenching shriek of pain. She started to pitch forward and was caught by her son. El watched in horror as she shifted while her son made soothing noise and held her close. Suddenly Dr. Howl Sr. came running into the lobby.
"He's awake!" He yelled as tears of relief ran down his face. He rushed over to his mate and wrapped her in his arms. "It's okay my love." He said soothingly as he held her. But her head shook violently as if she didn't believe him. She whimpered pathetically as tears ran down her face.
"Enson is awake?" El asked hopefully as she slowly approached them. "Does..... does that mean he'll be okay?"
"Well he's still in critical condition, but he is breathing on his own and was even able to speak a little. It is a good sign but he is not out of the woods yet. Until his wolf links with someone, anyone, we can't be sure he is even still there." A man El only vaguely recognized said as he came into view. "He asked for Erza and now they are both resting." He informed them. "Dad, it may be best to sedate her."
"You're right, Andrellious. Come on baby doll." He lifted her easily in his arms and carried her towards a set of double doors. The man that had been talking to her went with them.
"Luna, what are you doing here. I thought-"
"Never mind, Andrellious." Kendrelous said as he passed through the doors that Ethan and his mate had gone through just seconds ago. "No doubt she is here about Erza." He pushed his hand through his already messy blonde hair. "She's fine." He assured her as he began to pace restlessly.
"Elanor, For fuck sake.....I told you to keep her at the pack house!" Kedian snarled as he stepped out into the lobby and rounded on Keskian.
"I won't stay at the pack house while my sister is in the hospital!" El half screamed at him, immediately pulling his attention from the gamma who was doing his best to back away from him.
"Fuck Elanor! Ergh!" He ran both hands over his face and pulled his black hair in frustration. "I can't do this right now!" He growled and stormed out of the building leaving her there.
"Luna he wanted you at the pack house because there's a rouge here. She is curr-"
"Mate!" Keskian growled and went to step around them to the young girl that had come out behind Kendrelous. Kendrelous stepped in front of his older brother and, grasping his throat in one hand, lifted him off the ground only to slam him down hard on the tile.
"Back off, Keskian!" Kendrelous snapped angrily as he stood to his full height. "She isn't going to want you anywhere near her!" The girl had stumbled back into the double doors and was shaking violently as she whimpered. She was wearing a set of over sized pale blue scrubs. Her strawberry blonde hair hung in thick gentle waves down her back. If El had to guess this girl was no older than Erza.
"Are you okay?" El asked the girl who, to her credit, no longer looked as if she wanted to run. But the girl just watched the two men who were now growling at each other. Their wolves just under the surface, ready to attack. "Don't mind that. You'll get used to it. Can I get your name, sweetheart?" El spoke gently and the girl looked at her, terror seemed to be the only emotion she possessed.
"S-selina." She whispered as if she were afraid to be any louder. El moved over to her side and put her arm around the trembling girl.
"Well, Selina, I bet your parents are very worried about you. Let's give them a call, shall we?" She said as she lead Selina over to the reception desk.
"I'm in foster care. Ennorra and I ran away. Please don't make me call them!" Selina begged as tears began to run down her terrified face.
"Okay. You don't have to call them but we do need to figure out where you will be staying tonight." El said, brushing her beautiful hair out of her face.
"Elanor!" Kedian snapped as he stormed over and tried to cage her against the desk. The smell of cigarettes caused her stomach to churn and her dinner ended up all over his shoes. "Fuck." He grumbled as he took two steps back. "Sorry, I forgot." Kendrelous and Keskian were no longer fighting.
"God damn it Kedian!" El snarled at him as Kendrelous snorted an Keskian moved over to put more space between Kedian and El.
"El, are you okay?" Han asked as he started for them. Just then Lyn stepped out of the double doors.
"It's just morning sickness." She reassured the two of them. "Lyn what are you doing here?"
"I was taken with Erza." She said quietly as she rubbed El's back.
"Are you okay?" El asked, concerned about her best friend.
"Yeah, the doctor said I'll be fine." She turned her attention to Selina. "How are you doing?" She asked. Selina shook her head. Clearly she didn't want to talk about what had happened tonight. Keskian looked like he was about to cry. He stepped forward as if he was about to take her in his arms.
"She was raped, Keskian." Kedian growled. "Keep your distance." A typhoon of emotions ran across Keskian's face. El knew that the mate bond made him want to wrap her up in his arms and make it better, but he took a step back instead. That was when she knew he understood that he could not hug away the pain. All he could do was stand there and try to communicate that she could trust him without speaking.
El also knew that, if Selina asked it of him, he would make the man who had hurt her suffer for even daring to still be breathing. Such was the mate bond. Maybe someday Selina would trust him enough for them to have some semblance of a normal relationship, but for now she was hurting and afraid of him.
