"Master, we think we've decided on the general areas for the starting buildings. We put down the flags."
"Oh good. Well then I guess I'll start on them right now. Oh? Wait a moment."
As Vance started to walk towards the points that the girls had placed the flags, he heard a noise from his pocket. He stopped and pulled out the device that he had made to connect with the one John had. He noticed that it was lighting up and releasing sound.
"Oh shit. Hey girls, it seems that construction will have to wait till a little bit later. John pushed the button."
"I hope Mama and Papa are okay. Sir Vance we have to go, quick."
"Yeah I got it."
Saying this, Vance began to teleport the group to the castle to see what was going on, and whether there was any danger. As they reached the castle, the first thing that Vance did was to look for John and Lucy, to make sure they were safe. Once he saw that the two of them were standing on the balcony seemingly unharmed, he approached.
"John, Lucy, what's going on? Why'd you hit the button? What happened?"
Hearing Vance's voice, John and Lucy turned around to face him. John spoke first.
"Vance, the prisoners you captured got away. We don't know how they did it, but it seems they've escaped the city."
"Don't worry though. We have our best people on it." Said Lucy.
"HA! Don't worry. I had expected this exact development, so I made sure they wouldn't escape even if they managed to break out."
"Oh? What do you mean by that?"
"Well, I put a tracker on their souls. So even if we let them run back to base, I can find out where they are, and take down the base in one go. Pretty clever right?"
"On their souls!? Such a thing, is it even possible?
"Of course it is. Although I don't know whether or not anyone has touched up on the subject. At the very least, I can do things like that. But that aside. Don't worry, I now exactly where they are right now. Rather, I can sense it. So them getting away isn't that big of a problem."
"Well that is relieving. So it seems that whoever attacked us, their time draws near."
"Indeed it would seem that. Well then, I guess for the moment we can do whatever. But before we go back, maybe I should secretly go read the memories of their souls and see what's going on. Just in case they die or something. I wanna avoid these obvious failures."
