After saying this Vance began sprinting at the general.
"Vance don't kill him please!" Yelled out John.
"Ah don't worry. I only plan on beating him a little bit."
Seeing Vance run at him, the no-name general began to do the only reasonable thing he could do in that situation: Run for his life.
"SOMEONE GRAB HIM! HOLD HIM BACK! GRAB AN ENSLAVEMENT COLLAR! DO ANYTHING!"
Unfortunately for him, everyone at the scene either had close ties with Vance, or respected his power.
"Aw c'mon man. Why you runnin away? Didn't you want to enslave me? Well here's your shot. I'm a big bad threat right? Then eliminate the threat. Neutralize me. Do it coward!"
Seeing Vance get closer, even though he seemed to have started walking, the general decided to make a last ditch effort. He then pulled out his sword, and began running up to Vance.
"Oho? You've finally decided to fight and are approaching me?"
"HOW ELSE WILL I KICK YOUR ASS YOU BRAT!"
"Aha, then come as close as you like."
To humor the general, Vance made a dull wooden sword using magic.
"Well then, I guess first I'll beat you with swordsmanship. That way you can't complain I beat you. Then we'll move to fisticuffs. Man I'm starting to sound cliché, I feel like a faceslapping MC."
As the general approached, Vance did not seem to get into any sword stance, only letting the sword loosely dangle from his hand. The general then raised his sword and slashed towards Vance. Seeing this Vance didn't even move his sword, he simply tilted his body and let the sword swing past him. The general began to make multiple slashes towards Vance, one after another. Vance began to use his sword loosely to deflect the generals sword slashes to his left and right while smirking.
"You done yet? Good. My turn."
As he said this Vance seemed to slide through the generals attacks, and ended up behind him. With one swift strike, the general's sword was hit out of his hand and landed on the ground some distance away. After doing this, the sword in Vance's hand seemed to disappear as he smiled.
"C'mon, let's fist fight now."
Saying this, Vance swung his fist at the general, forcing him to block the hit. Noticing that Vance's body didn't seem to be excessively strong, the general smiled and threw a punch back. Vance ducked the punch and continued to strike the general.
To the bystanders, this seemed like a fight between two madmen: one dodging and striking, the other tanking blows and throwing punches. This exchange continued for several minutes until finally the general fell on the ground. Seeing this, Vance stopped, smiled, looked at the general, and said:
"Not bad. I wasn't expecting that much."
