The next day, it's a Friday morning. Jeremiah is getting ready to leave, to head to the school.
"What? You're actually going to school? Why?" Said Jeremiah's mother with a sarcastic curious face.
"Didn't you want me to go to school more often. Well now I have a job." Said Jeremiah.
"What? What do you mean you have a job? Aren't you going to school?" Asked Jeremiah's mother.
"My job is at school. As a teacher." Jeremiah broke out into laughter.
"Wow, what an unexpected turn of events for me. You don't even have a diploma for high school." Said Jeremiah's mother, just knowing she's made a point.
"Haha I have multiple college degrees, I don't need a high school diploma but since you've stated that." Jeremiah pulls out his high school diploma and sets it on the kitchen table.
"What? When did they send you this? I always get a hold of the mail first. But anyways since the school gave you the job I guess I couldn't object." Said Jeremiah's mother in a saddened tone because she didn't get to Jeremiah's mail first.
"Why would you object? This is a great thing, right?" Said Jeremiah.
"I mean, sure it is a great thing but I just always felt that you should have a normal childhood and high school experience." Explained Jeremiah's mother.
"I don't believe I can have a normal life but really I don't want one. I live my life surrounded by normal average people and that's fine enough for me. It is already a headache to worry for those that are in my life." Jeremiah explains, understanding that the people in his life don't have the protection of the knowledge that he has.
"I know but you really don't want a peaceful normal childhood?" Says Jeremiah's mother with her head down.
"I could have one if I chose to, but I like being strong and knowledgeable. For me, what I learn is my greatest strength. I wouldn't have it any other way." Says Jeremiah.
"Ok, I understand. Jeez I don't know where you get your genius from because it's not your father." Jeremiah's mother says with a smile on her face.
The two of them get up from the kitchen table and Jeremiah heads to the school. In the next scene Jeremiah is at the school building, conversing with the school principal about his new job.
"You didn't have to come in today but since you are here, we'll do the necessary paperwork and show you your classroom and give you your belongings that you will need. Now, the students can be very ignorant and disrespectful but some students are very well behaved. You will have to learn as much as you can and adapt quickly to the many different personalities you will be teaching." Explained the principal.
"I am looking forward to it." Said Jeremiah with a slightly evil grin smirk on his face.
"You know these students are older than you and they will certainly try to give you a harder time because of your age." Explains the principal.
"What? Then why let me teach these students? You knew the students would give me a hard time especially and you didn't think to find a different teacher, one with experience?" Said Jeremiah with his face slightly scrunched up in confusion.
"Who is more qualified than you? Not one teacher in this school can challenge you in even your worst subject. Not one teacher in this school district, nor the next, or any of them for that matter." The principal explains dramatically.
"I have absolutely no experience in teaching, at all, none what so ever." Jeremiah states.
"But you definitely qualify to teach. How will you ever get experience if no one is willing to give you experience, when they don't want to hire you just because you don't have experience? This can be a great thing for you." Said the principal in a tricky tone.
"Ok, ok, I get it. You're that desperate for suitable, knowledgeable teachers. The teachers here are beneath me." Jeremiah also exaggerates.
"What? I didn't say that. How is that what you got from our conversation?" Says the principal as the pitch of his voice raises ever so slightly.
"I said, I understand. Ok?" Said Jeremiah.
"Forget it, I'll show you to your classroom." The principal and Jeremiah began to wander down the hallway of the high school. The hallway on this side of the building always stays somewhat blown out and often flashes on and off. They stop at an empty classroom.
"This is your classroom and these are all the keys you will need. This classroom is empty today but I've already informed the other teachers and the students of our splitting the over crowded classrooms into two. I've already informed the students of a new teacher." Explained the principal.
In the middle of their conversation Jeremiah notices a strange acting dog running outside of the classroom window. The dog is an all black, very expensive looking Doberman pinscher. The dog runs past the classroom window a few more times. It gets quite annoying to Jeremiah, so Jeremiah peeks his head out of one of the open classroom windows just enough to see that there is someone standing with the dog. The man calls the dog back to him and uses an ominous sounding whistle, the dog quickly runs over and the two of them leave. The man puts his head down, which would make anyone think he doesn't want to be seen.
Jeremiah still standing in the window watching the two of them. Before they leave, they are sure that Jeremiah can see them. The Doberman kneels down on the ground in an attack stance but he doesn't attack, he sits there for a while. The dog actually changes form to a pixel, to a static like state and then he also quickly transforms back just like nothing has happened.
The dog being back in his normal form then begins to actually attack someone's car. The dog breaks into a random car and begins to eat a car radio. Somehow the dog looks more nourished after eating the radio than he did before.
"Mr. Lynn do you hear me?" Said the school principal bringing Jeremiah's attention back to the subject.
