Ellas pov
"She's my mate, I couldn't say it over the phone cause those humans outside were listening and weren't leaving or letting me help her. They got in the way." I heard a deep voice say.
"Damien." Another voice spoke but this one was a lighter voice.
"She's fine but I feel something in her that wasn't there. Something changed. She changed sort of. So she collapsed when she saw you?"
"Yes, our eyes connected and next thing I know she's on the floor, alert until she did faint." The deep voice said.
I tried opening my eyes and blinked as bright light invaded my sight. A hand grabbed my hand gently and I looked beside me to the man. His touch was soothing, I couldn't quite believe a stranger had an effect on me.
I looked around to see I was in a white tent. No clue where exactly I was. Then the tent door was unzipped and Brady and Maddy were standing there. As they rushed over to my side they pushed the stranger out of the way.
"Are you ok Ella? I was so worried." Maddy said. Her eyes were red from rubbing and same with Brady's.
"What's wrong love?" Brady asked me. I felt a sort of sadness in me after Brady spoke. I felt different.
I didn't know what was going on. That's what was wrong with me but I didn't want anyone to worry so I just replied with "nothing" trying to fake a smile.
Then I felt my face drop. I forgot Tom.
"Tomas." I said quietly. Where was he? Where was I? Who was that guy? I was in a strange text with strange people. Yes, my friends were with me but how did we get here and where exactly is here?
The lady took my friends out while the man grabbed my hand. It felt like I'd fallen under a spell of some sorts. I was instantly calm and had a clear head. My eyes only focused on the man.
"Ella?" The man spoke after a few minutes of silence. How did he know my name? Maybe Maddy told him.
"H-how did you know my name?" I asked.
"Your friend, Maddy. I'm Damien. Nice to meet you." He spoke softly.
"Yeah, umm. Where are we?"
"This is our hospital. This is Nurse Grey." He pointed to the lady.
"I need to get to Tomas." I say as I get up. He throws his arm around my waist preventing me from going anywhere. The tingles I felt from his arms made me smile. It felt nice.
You could tell he was confused due to his scrunched up face.
"Who's Tomas?" He asked. I had forgotten about Tomas again. Damien was distracting.
"My little brother. He's at the shopping mall. We left him there." I say, weakly trying to get out of his grasp. I liked the feel of his skin against mine.
"Woah. Stop right there. You need to rest. We don't know what happened to you just yet so you stay here. I'm sure Maddy can get him." The last question half a statement, half a question.
"I'll take Maddy in, she can grab him and we can come back? I want you to stay here with the nurse. Ok?" He grabbed my hand and was stroking it. It was calming and relaxing. It was what made me nod yes.
"I'll see you when I get back." He kissed my forehead and walked out. The
The nurse stood in and hooked me up to a machine. She ran tests and wrote on her clipboard which made me a little nervous but I ignored it. The blood test took what felt like ages. I had plenty of time to think over my situation. How a total stranger had helped me and taken me back to his hospital. Why didn't he take me to the actual hospital? Why to his own?
About half an hour later Brady barged in not caring to zip the door back up. He came straight to my side.
"Ella." He grabbed my hand.
"I'm sorry." He laid his head on my bed.
"You don't have to be sorry. You have nothing to apologise for." I said as I ran my hand through his hair. It felt nice to be close to someone I knew. Not a stranger.
"Brady." I said and he looked up. "Where are we?" I asked. He looked around then down.
"I don't know." He looked up into my eyes and wiped away a tear I didn't know had fallen.
"Do you want to leave love?" He asked as he thread his fingers in mine.
"I don't know." I started crying. I don't know what started it. To be honest, I don't know anything. Where we are, who Damien is, why he brought us here.
Brady stood up and hugged me, but he didn't let go. Like he was holding me. I was thankful. It was comforting.
"Let's get out of here." He said warmly as he scooped me up. The nurse ran over from a bench she was doing something on.
"Where are you going?" She asked as she stepped in front of Brady.
"We're leaving. Maybe I should take her to an actual hospital. Who know what you want with her and why he brought her here." Brady said getting louder and louder with each word.
"I just want to check her. She'll be better off here. They don't treat people like her too well at hospitals." She replied. Her tone, calm.
"Why?" Brady simply asked
"That may be something only she can say." The nurse said and they both looked to me.
"I don't know why I'm here." My small voice squeaked.
"We're going." Brady insisted once again as he tried to step around the woman. The door was hurriedly unzipped to see Damien. His hair was messy, looked like he'd run his hand through a few too many times.
Brady set me down keeping his hands under my forearms in case he needed to catch me. Tomas came running in past Damien to me and hugged my leg.
