The deadrousing department was a slight disappointment. Ted didn't know what he had expected, maybe shelves upon shelves of old books and scrolls, but instead, they found a few dusty biographies with only a negligible connection to the topic.
"He knew more about this than I or the library ever did," the guard said.
"And you say it now?"
Madorn pushed Ted back into his chair.
"We'll get more out of him if we behave," the scientist whispered.
"I heard that, and it's true," the guard said. "Here, take him. I don't want to see him in that shape ever again."
Ted and Madorn took the body to the hotel as discreetly as they could.
"You sure you can interrogate this mess, pal?" Mad asked. "It looks like someone slabbed a botched butchery and made it double -"
"Don't talk about him like that. He's my new friend."
"All right, so, you can make him talk. I won't question that. Say, do you need help?"
Ted thought about it for a moment.
