The House of Owls was not an easy one to enter. As dreadful as it looked, it had apparently been the target of so many random attacks that the crown scientist was now guarded by dozens of heavily armed men in funny purple meck suits. It was probably so uncomfortable for Madorn that it was hilarious, but Ted still did not know for sure that he was right about the identity of the man who lived up there.
"I am a friend of Maxim Madorn," he told an annoyed guard who seemed to have one hand on a hidden weapon. "I want to meet him."
