Humming.
Humm, humm, that was not a noise that Ted liked. Whistling annoyed him, absent-minded singing made him mad, but humming was the last and the worst of all sonic abominations. His hair almost stood up when he even thought about that. He hated it when people did those little things that made them happy.
If he was not the sole cause and ultimate origin of happiness, he preferred people to be downright miserable around him.
He felt a temptation to go for a little walk in the mirror realm, but that was not a good idea. It was too dangerous, even with the amulet of the wizard protecting him.
What a waste of magic.
Then there was the option of visiting the same exact spot where he had first encountered the humming entity - gods, how he hated to even think about that. It chilled him to the bone.
That was a good option, but first, he had to make a protective spell of some kind.
