Things had gone so wrong, they had gone so right, and Ted did not know which side in himself to trust.
Eknie was suspicious.
She could be crazy. In fact, that was the most likely explanation for her behavior. She was crazy, incapable of holding even the slightest grudge when it came to the high cor.
That alone was enough to make her dangerous. While Ted could technically trust her with some things, she was still unhinged enough that any plan requiring her input and effort was an outrageously volatile one. He did not feel like he could trust her to be wise, or patient, or sane in any matter.
It was pure insanity, but it felt better to side with Mad, who had been consistent in his plot and always working towards a clear goal.
"What should we do about Theinskvalur?" the cult leader asked. "We have enough manpower to take him down."
