Ted came to his senses on the cold floor of a cave. Having no idea where he was, his first thought was that he had failed to stare at the black spot. Searching for the writing, he glanced around wildly, but he only saw Eric standing next to him, scratching that obnoxiously neat beard.
"How long has it been since I went inside?" Ted asked. The reality of the situation was starting to dawn on him. Something peculiar, something completely out of the ordinary had happened, and he did not think that it was just another part of the wizard training program.
He expected to hear numbers like three hours, or five at most. It was hard to tell.
"You were in there for three days, and on the third day, around nine o'clock in the evening, I got the psychic alert that you were about to faint," the wizard said.
A lesser man would have fainted again.
"Three DAYS?! And you did not think that you should have taken me out after, I don't know, maybe FIVE HOURS at MOST?!"
