"Come on, Eknie. You can't just drop a tidbit of information like that and expect me to stay quiet about it." Ted sighed. He needed to know more about the spirit, whatever it took to get the woman to open up about it.
"I demand that you tell me every last detail," he continued, hoping that the most direct possible approach would also be the most fruitful one.
"It was shaped like the head of a monster. It emitted a strange, banging noise," Eknie said. "I suppose that simply speaking of a monster is not enough to sate your curiosity - so, I will tell you this: it had so many teeth that people could not even begin to describe how toothy it was."
"Teeth," said the high cor, amused. "Is that what made the most lasting impression?"
"No, Ted, you do not understand," Eknie said, laughing. "The head had teeth in its EYES. And its NOSTRILS."
