The male nurse saw the doctor, and for a fraction of a second, he, too, looked like he was dying.
"You did the right thing," the man said hastily and made his way to the bed where the doctor was now coughing up blood.
There was no way of telling how conscious the fellow was. He could be having hallucinations, or just about anything except for a good time.
"What was your name again?" Ted asked the young man.
The nurse did not answer, opting to silently examine the patient instead.
"He is not going to live for longer than two weeks unless something miraculous happens," the fellow said, eyeing Ted with a curious expression. "He needs some herbs for his throat."
"Herbs…" Ted sighed. "Do you really think herbs are strong enough for that? He has been in a coma, he has had some seizures, he has been on fire or something, and the best I can say is that at least, he is now breathing as he coughs up his lungs one piece at a time."
