The other airship crew had, apparently, been more frugal when it came to supplies. Ted felt extremely good after eating a few good meals and sleeping in a proper bed. The opportunities for maintaining his usual level of personal hygiene were not that spectacular, but Eknie said he smelled good, and he chose to take her word for it.
The Fin was looming on the horizon soon enough, all white, gray and black, mountains rising high above the tundra and the uncomfortably icy landscape. There were no cities in sight, no villages. They would have to search for fellow humans unless they wanted to be stuck making friends with ice rabbit creatures and snow lions.
Ted was not anywhere near being psychotic enough for that. In fact, a good cup of coffee was enough to make him crave civilized company, but Madorn was busy making speculations about the location of the nearest city.
