The kill had to be dragged back into the camp. Wanting to look good, Ted participated in the process of carrying the enormous body of the snow lion.
There were two things they could do with the lion. Firstly, even though carnivore meat was not nearly as good to eat as herbivore meat, it was still meat, and they could utilize all the parts that would have been edible in a normal lion. Secondly, the ones who had an understanding of animal taxonomy and animals in general could deduce some important things about the species based on what they could see in the dead specimen.
