Ted struggled against the force of the deity, desperate to have at least some control over his own body.
Then he realized he already had it.
He, himself, had succumbed, but he did not have to go on like this any longer. He could move. He only had to decide.
He pushed the presence off his bed with a swift wave of his hand and rolled onto the floor, gasping for air. It was the most precious feeling in the entire world to be liberated from something that could literally steal a breath.
"Hm," said the solar god and vanished into thin air.
Ted was distressed, overjoyed and confused at the same time.
The ceiling was blue again, and the cabin was glowing with the sunset rays sweeping over the walls. Ted had no idea what had just happened, but he did think he knew why.
