Ted gathered his own group into his cabin. The doctor-captain was busy with his captaincy, but Madorn was available and so was Eknie.
"You all have seen it, I know," the cult leader said, letting his gaze sweep the faces of his allies, looking for a sign that he was right about this.
"Air rippling, things changing places, glasses filled while you are not looking. Something is on the move, and I am not sure if it is hostile or not. I would appreciate it if you helped me find out what in the name of the Mother is happening."
"I...I have felt it, too." Eknie looked down, to her perfectly dainty boots that had never suffered a single stain on their leather surface. "It's not invisible...but it's not exactly visible, either."
Then she covered her mouth with her hand and dashed towards the water closet.
Ted glanced towards her.
"And what was that?" he asked.
