Narrated by Gordon
So, I've been brought to narrate this story, huh? Well, I'm only doing it part time, keep that in mind.
Anyways, where was I supposed to start from? Oh yeah, my first match at the League. Right.
So, my match was at the last. I'd plenty of time to observer the atmosphere, the fighters, and whatnot. And I did observe them.
Actually, I didn't. I simply took a nap on the couch, and had a pretty good sleep, until Alex woke me up.
"What're you doing? Your match is up next! Wake up already!" He shouted into my ears.
I shoved him away,"You don't have to shout it in my ears!"
He just laughed, and said,"If I hadn't done that, you wouldn't be waking up at all."
I ignored him, and got up up, to find my opponent for the match, and have a little chat him or so. His name was Abbot. His hair was long, and he always kept it in front of his face, keeping his face hidden for the most part. He was fully dressed in black, with a black shirt, black pants, and black sneakers. Pretty casual for a fight, I guess.
I walked up to him, and said,"Our match is up next. You better be ready."
He didn't say anything, his face covered by his hair.
"Don't wanna say anything? Frozen in fear?" I teased him, and then he turned to me.
"You're not worth my time." A monotonous and low voice creeped out of the hair.
"Say that again?"
"I said," he turned up, hair straight towards my face,"you're not worth my time. Get out of here."
"I ain't worth your time, huh?" I grabbed his collar,"How about I show you, that it's you, who's not worth my time?"
He calmly laughed, but Jimmy the announcer cut his laugh,"Alright, it's time for our last match for the day! It's gonna be Gordon from Stronghold City, versus Abbot from Condiac City!"
I released his collar,"Now, I get to humiliate you there."
I stormed to the ring, and Abbot followed me slowly. The guy looked too calm to fight.
Jimmy looked at me, and I nodded. Abbot nodded too.
"Begin!"
Abbot didn't move, so I took the opportunity to begin thrashing. Left, right, left, right. I threw lefts and rights on him, pummeling his defense, and trying to wear him down. His defense was pretty solid, and he tanked my hits like they were nothing.
For some reason, he let me hit anything I got at him, and didn't take any chance to put me on defense. It was as if he wanted me to hit him. I took full advantage though, and kept thrashing into his defense, trying to break in, but in vain.
After sometime, I was exhausted, and slumped down to the ground for a breather. That's when Abbot taunted me.
"Exhausted so fast? Come on, what happened to the part where where you were going to squash me? Huh?"
He kept throwing taunts at me, but didn't attack at all, which was kinda weird. However, I didn't think of it, and I just worried about blowing his brains out.
I got up, and resumed attacking. He kept dodging, and I was getting exhausted again. But Abbot looked excited, like he was waiting for something to happen.
He began taunting me again, and I couldn't take it this time. Rage filled me up, and I began swinging at him wildly, without even considering my attacks.
I'd lost control of my temper. Now, I just had one goal in mind, and that was to beat this guy up, badly.
I thrashes my way into his defense, and Abbot had begun wincing. It was clear that my attacks were beginning to hurt him. If I could go on, he wouldn't last much longer.
And he didn't. One left punch, and his arms recoiled in pain. That was the moment, and I had to seize it.
And then, one right hook went straight to his face, and he couldn't do anything.
My fist connected right to the centre of his face, and he fell down from the impact. He clutched his face, and slowly got up.
His hair had been pushed back, but he covered his face with his hands. However, he didn't plan on keeping it covered, and slowly retracted his hand away.
And his face was finally visible.
The first thing to cath my attention, was his eyes. Yellow in color, they had a predator's sharpness to them. The next thing was a scar that ran all the way from his right temple to the base of his triangular jaw. And finally, his nose, which was bent at an awkward angle to his right. Guess I'd managed to break his nose.
He began chuckling. That chuckling soon transitioned into hysterical laughing. This was pretty weird, and no one had any idea what was going on.
I shook my head, and lunged forward to attack. He caught my hand easily, and stopped laughing, instead, he flashed me an evil grin.
"You're not bad. Guess you can be it!" He said.
His fist speared into my gut. The force was so hard, that I even managed to puke out my breakfast. I didn't pay any attention to that though, as the pain was too overwhelming.
I convulsed for the last time, as my body went limp with pain, and my eyes shut down. The last thing I saw, was Abbot walking away.
And then, I blacked out.
My eyes flew open, and I woke up with a gasp, as I found myself back at the hotel room.
"So, you woke up, after all." Alex said, as he got off the bed beside me.
"What happened?" I asked, still confused.
"You blacked out," he said,"Out cold for six hours."
"SIX HOURS?!"
"Yep."
"Let me guess. I'm eliminated."
"Surprisingly, nope?"
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"Well, that Abbot guy walked off the ring just before you passed out. So he eliminated himself before you lost, meaning that you won."
"Why'd he do that?"
Alex shrugged,"I dunno. The guy looks suspicious though. I spotted him talking to Chris. Better stay away from them."
I nodded, still confused about what happened.
