Diana couldn't remember the last time she slept that soundly, back in Japan she always had to sleep with one eye open, being dead in the middle of the hive she couldn't really rest, the risk of someone discovering her under cover or a drunk asshole that came in and tried to help himself to her legs kept her up for most of the night.
She saw the bed next to her was empty, her thoughts ran to that time with her, Baiken was just short of an expert, she knew exactly what to do, and did it with that sore arm of hers as well.
She stood up and headed to the door, realising she was still naked made her stop, it felt so comfortable now not having anything on almost like Baiken freed her, she saw the way Baiken looked ar her, and deep in her she wanted that again, but, she didn't want to give Baiken the impression of it.
She got her silk night dress and slipped into it, keep it formal for now, maybe later there will be more fun.
She passed Baiken's room and found her there, sitting on her knees, on her bed neatly made, her gaze was out the window on the garden before she heard Diana.
"Morning" she said.
"Morning" Baiken answered with a soft smile then returned her eyes out the window "Its a beautiful garden"
"Are you ok?" Diana asked thinking the first thing she would have wanted to talk about was last night, but Baiken seemed to be in a soothed mood, relaxed, not very talkative.
"I'm fine..." She said and turned to Diana "Last night, was, out of this world"
Diana blushed "I'll agree to that"
"I would like to do it again sometime, if you don't mind?" Baiken asked, Diana saw the red in her cheeks.
"If I dont mind?" She asked "Why don't you lie down and allow me to show you if I mind or not?"
Baiken's smile widened and she brought a hand up "Maybe not now"
"Ok?" Dana was baffled.
"Its rather embarrassing, once a month, for about three or four days, I go through something, I... Bleed down there, and it hurt, I'm happy we had that time last night Diana, but that time started just this morning"
Diana felt her heart flutter "Baiken!? Do you know what the means!?"
Baiken wasn't sure why she was happy "Uh, no?"
"Its called a menstrual cycle! Every woman goes through it! This is great news!"
"Why?"
"It means you can still have children one day!"
Baiken smiled again but shook her head "No, I'll admit when it happened the first time I thought it was because if Yamamoto's strikes to my gut, but later saw a pattern... I'm glad in one way Diana, can you imagine I fell pregnant to Yamamoto? Or even Tachibana who betrayed me?"
"You had sex with him too?"
"For three years almost every night yes, but nothing" Baiken said and looked down "So its natural hey?"
Diana felt like an idiot "I'm sorry"
"Its ok, I told you, I don't want their children, I don't know if I'd ever be able to look at that child as a mother should?"
"I guess you have a point, I'm really starting to despise this Yamamoto" she said and banged the wall with her fist.
"His days are numbered" Baiken said and clenched her eyes, Diana could see she was in a lot or pain.
"It hurts that badly?"
"Yes, I think my past contributed to that, it didn't hurt so much the first few times"
"You mean to say you think because Yamamoto struck you that much it got worse?"
"It might have, when that time comes I would fight against him again, not wanting sex, then he'd get angry and for that four days intensify the conditioning, it was agonising" Baiken said placing her hands on her belly.
Diana left her quickly and got some pain relievers, she brought it back with a glass of water "Here, drink these, it will ease the pain"
Baiken looked at the two tablets "What is it?"
"Painkillers, it's medicine"
"You have medicine to get rid of pain?"
Diana giggled "Hey, my name is not Baiken Kazuna who is one with pain ok?"
Baiken smiled and washed the tablets down with the water, she sat there licking her lips "Odd, it doesn't seem to work with me?"
"Give it time, about twenty minutes" Diana said stepping back to the door "Have you ever tasted bacon and eggs before?"
"No?" Baiken's face lit up "Is it food?"
"Breakfast, and I'll make us some, you just relax there until the pain subsides ok?"
Baiken nodded.
Diana had to go to the shops quick to buy food, in the meantime Baiken felt the painkillers work, she couldn't believe there was medicine out there to stop pain.
The knickers Diana introduced her to was perfect for having a cloth to keep her dry, so she got up and took a stroll through the house.
A lot of pictures on tables and walls, trinkets and decor, she never paid much attention last night.
In the living room she saw her katana next to a couch and picked it up, she drew the blade out and looked at her eyes in its chrome finish, strangely her arm also had little to no pain, so she assessed the space she had to move in and went to a stance, its been a while since she practiced, she felt rusty.
Closing her eyes with the image of her surroundings printed in her memory she pictured mock enemies around the room, and drew the katana, slashing at them spinning and jumping, missing the furniture with every swing.
Diana came back from the shops and saw her through the window, it had her paused there for a moment, no matter how violently Baiken swung that sword she hit nothing, not a wall, not a couch, not even the chandelier light hanging from the roof.
She slowly opened the door and Baiken stopped opening her eyes "Is it safe to come in?"
Baiken giggled "It was always safe for you around me"
"Oh?" Diana asked passing her to the kitchen "Then what about that time on the plane? Where you said 'You need your katana! It is your soul!' You almost looked like you wanted to slay all of us"
"I wouldn't have!" Baiken said.
"Just joking, how's the arm? Are the pills working?" Diana said seeing Baiken doesn't even bother dressing her scar.
"Its amazing actually, I'm in almost no pain at all"
"Good, it means you can fully enjoy breakfast with me"
"Break fast" Baiken repeated.
Diana sat off making the eggs and bacon, Baiken watched her like a hawk, the smell that came from the whole ordeal was enough to make Baiken slurp at her saliva.
"Smells good doesn't it?"
"It smells divine!"
Diana dished them the food and they sat to eat, Baiken took in the bites one by one, savoring every bite, she struggled with the knife and fork at first but got the hang of it.
"I just had an idea!" Diana said loudly making Baiken shake losing the food from her fork.
"Ok!?"
"Why don't I take you to go see a movie?"
"What's a movie?"
"It's screenplay, almost like a puppet show, but with people"
"Ok then, that sounds interesting?"
"Yes, and there is a new movie out I think you'll like, its also about Samurai"
Baiken stopped chewing "A movie about Samurai?"
"Yes, finish up, I'll go get you something to wear so long" Diana said picking up her empty plate and leaving.
Baiken finished her last bite but thought about what Diana said, screenplay about Samurai? How?
Diana managed to get Baiken a neat set of short cut jeans and a shirt, with slops to go with it "It's all I think will fit, after the movie I'll take you to buy some clothes ok?"
Baiken nodded and they left the house, outside she stopped to behold a beautiful baby blue Aston Martin standing in the driveway, but it had no roof.
"Another Aston?" She asked surprised.
"This is my own, it doesn't belong to the government" Diana said getting in.
With wind in her hair Baiken now witnessed Britain in daylight, it was not as densely built as Japan, but it was still marvelous.
Diana saw next to Baiken her sword then pointed "Your soul needs to stay with mister Aston"
"Why?"
"I don't think they'll allow a sword into the cinema"
"Cinema?"
"The movies"
"Oh..." Baiken looked at her sword "Its odd your country doesn't allow swords, it was tradition where I came from"
"It will be safe here don't worry" Diana said as they entered the mall.
Baiken seeped everything in as they passed to the parking area, she knew the mountain of questions she had would flood Diana so she rather stayed quiet and observed.
Parking the car Diana pressed a button and the roof slowly folded over them, she knew Baiken would get a kick out of it.
"It's like its own umbrella!"
"I know right!?"
They got out and Diana locked it "See? Your soul is safe"
Baiken blushed "You don't have to call it my soul you know"
Diana rubbed her hair "You're the one who said it was"
As they strolled through the mall Baiken as always had eyes every where but Diana's phone rang just as they bumped into Zander, she held a finger to him and turned away.
"Ah, out for a day at the mall hey sussa?"
"Morning boeta" she smiled but her eyes never left the shops.
"What are you out to do?"
"Go watch a movie!"
"Oh, I knew Diana would take you to see that Samurai movie"
Diana joined them "Zander, perfect timing, Wilkinson just called me in, mind taking Baiken to go see that movie?"
He looked at Baiken "If she doesn't mind?"
Baiken was a little lost "Will you be long?"
"No, I'll be back in a jiffy ok?" Diana smiled and headed off.
Zander stood uncomfortably watching Diana pace off then looked at Baiken "Uh, ok so, it's me and you then?"
She produced a smile "I promise I won't flood you with questions this time ok?"
Zander laughed "Oh thank heavens"
