3:59 am, darkness sweeps the floor clean, purple energy is flowing through the veins.
Kyle opens his eyes, "What is this? I thought I was sleeping in my bed?" confused and scared he tries to turn on the light of his bedroom only to find that he wasn't in his familiar room but instead on a Train's compartment. Kyle arises and stands up. Lights start flickering. "No wonder this isn't in my room, this has to be a nightmare for sure" Kyle wonders in his head, but where is he? He tries to make out from his surroundings only to find out this train is standing outside a very suspicious platform number. He knows which station this is because he uses it to go to school every day but never in his life has he ever seen a platform number 9 ¾. "9 ¾? Wait this is familiar but not at the same time. This has to be some sort of dream for sure because I am dead sure there isn't a platform number 9 ¾," unable to figure it out Kyle gives up thinking. There is a shriek not far away from him. Highly alert Kyle runs forwards to find out what the sound came from. He finds a human-like shape lying down on the chairs of the train. Kyle jumps back afraid of what it could be. Kyle wonders at this point, "Why am I not awake yet? This is scaring me." He goes on to pinch himself and he could feel pain? He feels a shiver down his spine. "Is this not a dream? Is this for real? No, it can't be," Kyle comforts himself and convinces himself it is a dream and not reality. Curious and afraid Kyle approaches the somewhat human-like figure that turns out to be a girl his age? Now Kyle is really worried, "What is this place and what is Amy doing here?" Amy was his long lost sister, who went lost in a night while camping in the forest. Ever since, even after several tries, the police was unable to find her and gave up. "Now she is here?" Kyle starts getting goosebumps. She also appears to have grown quite a lot, now she looks his age. When she went lost she was only 10. It has been 3 years and now she looks like a 13-year-old. Finally, he decides to shake her and she wakes up. A Loud shriek, " WHO ARE YOU!? WHAT IS THIS PLACE?!" Amy shouts loudly and steps back. THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! Something large was coming towards them. Kyle rushes over to her and puts a hand over her mouth. "Quiet, something is coming towards us, I am Kyle your twin brother remember?" Kyle explains quietly.
With large strides, they slowly make their way to a locker and hides inside it. "But I was in the forest sleeping, how am I inside this train? How long have I been asleep?" Amy asks calmly, but as she observes herself, she finds that she has grown taller and her hair was longer. "What? We thought you disappeared in the forest? I thought this was a dream, I was sleeping in my bed and I woke up here?" Kyle replies, confused. Was there no hope? Where were they? More importantly what kind of place did they arrive in? Again the Loud thumps can be heard. It was getting Louder and Louder and Louder until it stopped. Kyle and Amy both peeked through the holes of the locker. Standing outside was a 10 ft tall giant, the murderous aura was seeping out from it. By then Kyle was sure of it, it had to be. He once read about the Terminals. They were assumed to be some made up stories to scare kids, but now it seems to be reality. Terminals were magical yet horrifying places, filled with creatures of the dark. Only those who went to a cursed forest and slept there were assumed to be cursed and bound to be transcended to its world. The creature outside was called an Alon, made of several other terminal passengers souls. Its job was to kill any creature of the outside, which was mainly other terminal passengers, or the cursed. Just thinking about it made Kyle shiver. He quietly explained to Amy about what happened and where they were, or at least where he thought they were. The beast again began to move forwards and slowly the sounds of the steps were no more. The hideous aura was also gone. They slowly opened the locker door. They were safe. Finally when Kyle asked if Amy had anything they could eat since they were hungry. When Amy searched her pockets, she stumbled upon some kind of liquid in a vial. On it, a text was inscribed. [Instant Food Potion], Kyle asked Amy to drink it. "I.. I don't feel hungry anymore" Amy answered, shocked. What kind of sorcery is this? When Kyle searched he also found some vials. But the funny thing was when he drank it, he heard a voice. Was this voice a symbol? Maybe a signal? The voice was an old, deep voice. Finally, it occurred to him, the voice was of the administrator. He remembered studying in the book that the Master of the train would whisper in their heads whenever they did something, and it usually was a signal that they were passengers chosen by the infernal. (Infernals were the so called demons or gods of the Terminal)
Finally, progress could be felt. They were feeling relieved. Again the light flickered. Last time when the light flickered another train compared appeared where Kyle found Amy. What can it be this time? They stepped through onto the next compartment. Only to discover a foul smell of Iron. They found a knife with interesting scriptures, some food supplies and a padded outfit of some sort. One for Kyle and another for her. They quickly wore it and tried to find a light switch. This time there seemed to be one. They flipped the switch. The lights turned on, 4 steps in front them, lay a body, chopped in half, blood all around. Looking at the scene Amy quickly turned around and hugged her brother in fear. Kyle was shaking. His legs were trembling. "This has to be the work of the Alon, let's keep moving or we might end up like this, it seemed to be another passenger that was transported into this train, unluckily it couldn't, hide or escape in time." For what felt like hours had gone by. Nothing happened. Once again the light flickered. Now there appeared another human-like figure. This time it wasn't friendly. It rushed forward with no face. Its hands were the shape of large claws. Quickly Kyle jumped and with his knife stabbed it in the head and kicked it backwards. This type of beast was called the No-face, it was an uncommon beast that survived on the meat of passengers. Usually, it would not appear but, when it did. It meant there were more nearby. "AMY RUN!" Kyle shouted in agony, as a loud scream was heard from the no face. It was calling for backup. Kyle and Amy ran as fast as they can. Kyle glanced behind him. 3 No-faces were chasing them. On the way when they were running, they luckily found a long sword, sheathed on a dead passenger. Kyle tossed the knife to Amy and held the hilt of the sword tightly. They both turned back and rushed towards the no-faces. Kyle commanded Amy "When I strike stab its head I will make sure to chop the other no-faces head off." 3 Loud screams of agony echoed. It almost made the duo's ear bleed.
Finally, the no-faces were no more. Lying still on the floor. 3 no-faces. A voice whispered in their head, "You have completed the ascendence test, You will now be transported to the real Terminal." They were shocked. All of this was a test? So what was the real deal? They stood there, afraid and confused. Many emotions were going through them. What felt like an eternity was just a test? Little did they know, this was a start of a long-awaited journey through the Terminal. They were tired so they decided to go to a big locker, close the door and sleep there. Many hours passed by, it was pin-drop silence. Both of them fell asleep instantly as if they hadn't slept for 5 days. In fact, they actually hadn't slept for 5 days and what felt like a day was in Earth's time 5 days. They were in the Terminal's dimension.
Will there be any compensation from the administrator? Will they ever get to see their parents again? No one knew. But they kept optimistic wondering if there will be someone who could save them.
