"This…my body feels weird…never mind."
Kelly said her eyes were closed, still in her cross-legged position but instead of dwelling on the new change, she just continued with her absorption of the Soul Aura around her.
Two Weeks Later
'Ugh my body feels awful.'
Kelly finally woke up from her long sleep but her eyes were still closed. She tried to move her body but everything hurt and she felt heavy.
'Was it because of that strange energy that I've been absorbing all this while? sigh'
Kelly tried to open her eyes, but the task proved difficult, her eyes were heavy and she felt drained out of all energy.
'I can't even open my eyes properly.' Kelly thought to herself, as she continued to force her eyes open.
After successfully opening her eyes, she was greeted by the completely unfamiliar white ceiling that was over her head, turning to her left, a beeping machine came into sight.
'I'm I at a hospital?'
Feeling confused by the situation and the strange surrounding with luxurious furnishing, Kelly continued to scan the entire room.
'I thought I was pushed from a building's roof top; shouldn't I have gone splat?'
Kelly continued to look at the room, feeling the warm rays on her right cheek, she turned towards it only to be welcomed by the view of a wall to ceiling window, outside it are tree branches, the picturesque view gave one the feeling of tranquility and relaxation.
'Haa…it's been a long time since I've been in such a quiet and peaceful environment'
Kelly thought as she gazed at the view, while feeling a tinge bit melancholic.
'Dad…I hope you're doing well…sigh, somehow, I've survived a fall that was more than a hundred meters, so I'll definitely, save you too.'
Looking at her current environment, Kelly could not decipher her location at all.
'Where the hell I'm I. Did Christabel bring me here? Could she have been the one to save me?'
The room where Kelly laid, seemed simple but luxurious and elegant, but at the same time she noted that it wasn't Christabel's home.
'Could she have taken me to a safe house to recuperate?'
But her musings were cut off by the opening of her room door which instinctively made her to tense up. As soon as the door opened, Kelly could instantly hear the sounds and voices coming from the other side. Her hearing range had increased to at least an 8-meter hearing range.
'I'm not in a safe house at all!'
Entering into the room with Dr. Zhou, Dr. Cai was instantly distracted from her discussion as she noticed that her patient had awakened. Dr. Cai hastened her footstep to the patient's bed side.
