At Zevrus' serious tone, I walk back to the couch and sit , taking a quick glance at Cedric, I notice his side grin as he crosses his arms, and looking back at Zevrus, I understand there's no way out of this situation.
I run my fingers through my hair as I sigh and gather my thoughts, "well?" says Zevrus, and I muster my courage as I speak "this happened before we knew you are still alive, one of the wolves in your pack had deflowered a female from the Amara pack, back when Dracus was the alpha.. the female had been deflowered without anyone's consent or knowledge, which enraged Dracus and made him take a decision. He decided to take a female from your pack in exchange, a virgin." Zevrus' eyes turned to Cedric "how come this is the first time that I hear about this?", Cedric's shit-eating grin was finally gone as he said "I know this sounds enraging, but I will talk you through everything later, for now, let's not keep Xavier here for too long, his mate might get… lonely", his words made my wolf wake up and start to claw at my chest to get out, but I chose to ignore him, and continued "Dracus informed me that he got the call from Cedric who had been the Alpha of the pack back then. Dracus said that Cedric made it clear that there are not virgin females in the pack, and if there are any virgins they were too young to mate, but he had actually depended on it, since he had heard of Rain".
Zevrus put both of his hands on his face and sighed deeply, then he took a deep breath and nodded as he looked down "so he took Rain", I nodded "Rain had tried to escape, when we took her, a gang of rouges attacked us, we fought, she took the chance and ran into the woods, I tried to follow her but Dracus stopped me, he said he said his wolf wants to chase her", noticing Cedric had been quiet, I glanced at him only to find him leaning forward on his knees, his eyes were fixed on the fire in the fireplace, I swallowed the lump in my throat, as the hard part came "so after Dracus came back with Rain in his arms, I asked him what happened and he said that she fell back and hit her head, we went back to the main house, and I sat with him in his office-" , Cedric cut me with a sharp tone "just get to the damn point", I sigh "Rain came to the office, she challenged Dracus, looking him in square in the eyes she told him that she only belongs to you-Zevrus, Dracus found it amusing, but he knew there was something else, since Cedric claimed her infront of both of the packs, he said it had to be mutual, Rain had to have some sort of attraction towards Cedric for him to be that bold." , Zevrus stood and leaned on the shield on top of the fireplace, Cedric didn't budge, I sighed "when we were in the office, I catched Rain's scent, and it moved something in me, I felt the need to protect her, I felt like-" Zevrus cut me "you felt like she was your mate" , I nodded "yes" , Zevrus nodded "then what happened?" I rubbed a hand over my face "then, I wanted to talk to her, I wanted to help her escape, but I felt like if she had to listen to me, then she would have to trust me first. I planned to tell her about you, so I went into Dracus' bedroom, and as I started to talk to her, I couldn't hold my self…I… I kissed her", Zevrus' head whipped in my direction, his eyes were wide as saucers, filled with anger, I expected him to punch me, kick me out, fight me, but he stayed quiet, as if frozen, I looked at Cedric who was looking at Zevrus quietly, "I apologised to her, and as I opened the door to get out, Dracus was standing there, for some reason he told me that I can have her, to this day I still don't understand why", Zevrus sat down, leaning forward he leaned his elbows on his knees , and buried his face in his hands with a heavy sigh "then what?" , I continued "then I took her to my cabin, and told her the whole story, after that there was a howl, and after the battle, I killed Dracus, and Rain was taken back to your territory".
a creaking sound made all three of us look towards the stairs, there stood Rain , wrapped in a bed sheet, her slender legs showing , her eyes puffy and red, it looked like she was crying, her lower lip quivered as she stepped closer, she looked at Zevrus "Zevrus, I know this is as hard for you to hear as much as it's hard for me to remember, regardless of how you feel now, I want you to remember that if it wan't for Xavier, I wouldn't be here today" she turned to look down at Cedric who was sittin behind her, giving him a stern look she said "you too Cedric, don't ever forget", Cedric looked away and nodded.
I stood up "now that you know the whole story, I will give you some privacy", I make my way way towards the door, but then I stop and turn around, looking at Zevrus I say "I am sorry Zevrus, I don't know if you would believe it if I say that I did not have any bad intentions towards Rain, nor towards you", Zevrus stays quiet , but he wraps an arm around Rain and hold her close to his chest. Looking at Cedric I say "I do understand your anger as well, since Rain is your mate as well, however, now that everything is on the table, I want to make it clear that I will not tolerate any disrespect towards my mate or myself", Cedric stares at me quietly, so I turn back around, walk towards the door and exit the main house. Going down the stairs , I stop and take a breath "time to go home".

The morning sun tickles my nose and lashes, I open my eyes slowly only to close them hard again, shielding my eyes with my arm, I open my eyes slowly and look around, his side is empty, he did not sleep next to me, good. I sit up slowly, feeling unusually rested, I stretch my amrs and legs as I yawn lazily, I get up and walk to the bathroom, washing my face, fixing my hair, I get the feeling that I'm a little less agitated today, I make the bed, and open the curtains,I hear children laughing so I look down, two girls chase each other between the hanging white sheets, laughing and making silly sounds, I can't help but smile as I remember how I used to have the same fun childhood. Suddenly , Xavier appears, he smiles at them as he gets closer, squatting down he openes his arms widely , both girls run and jump at him, tackling him to the ground, I huff a small laugh, and at the exact same time his head rises towards where I'm standing, my smile vanishes, as I look down at him, he raises an arm and waves at me with a beautiful bright smile
I turn around, looking around the room, my eyes fall on the door, I eye it suspiciously for a few seconds, but then decide to try- so I walk towards it, turn the handle , and door opens.
