It was not only Michael who was interested on how the white haired female was able to survive such a killing blow.
The people who were fighting close to her whether from Arin or Ruhen could not stop themselves from being very curious.
Michael and his comrades might have been far from the battle but due to a lot of experience with magic they were able to change the shape of the awareness.
Whilst most young mages can only have a circular range on their awareness. Michael and these veterans could change the circular shape so that their awareness could focus in one direction much farther away, thus they were able to view the battle.
Whilst every person was wondering how the female survived, Michael turned to the slightly more intelligent member of the trio, that being Finn.
"If I were to guess, I would say it was a life saving artifact. I heard rumours during the time I was an instructor that such artifacts exist. I mean I while back it was impossible to think of the [Mana and Magic Linker] and [Explosive Flux Cannon] artifacts until someone made them. I believe that it is the same in this…"
As Finn was about to finish his explanation, a change happened in the place where the white haired female was. The white haired female in question started to flout up, and immediately shot out into the air with super high speed towards the rear.
The speed that she was travelling was a speed that would be impossible for a tier 3 mage such that the three mages that were fighting her stopped chasing after a few seconds.
The trio of Joana, Finn and Michael and many other people who were paying attention were all flabbergasted
In the mage world it was known that tier 3 mages could not fly, only tier 4 mage's mana was powerful enough to make them fly.
"What?! The lady can fly?!! How can she be so fast…? I remember the lady used the elements of Darkness, Earth and Fire…?"
BOOOM!!!
"Arhg… Fuck…"
Finn had been so distracted that his opponent took advantage of the situation and blew him several metres away almost killing him.
It was only an instinctual response to use a tier 1 defensive spell, [Pressured Water Shield], that was strengthened by 7.65% by his tier 1 Magic Ring, [Strengthen Pressured Water Shield] that save him.
But that would not have been enough to stop a tier 2 spell, it was also because of his tier 2 Magic Ring, [Increased Magic Hardness], that strengthened the hardness of shield type spells from tier 2 to tier 1 by 42.55% that allowed him to survive.
"Hey, Finn are you alright?!"
Michael asked with a sarcastic tone, mainly being that Finn had at one point said that he would not get distracted in battle.
'These monsters even in that situation were able to stay cool, I guess it is to be expected from the 5 year veterans.'
Finn internally commented as he quickly retreated as the female enemy that had just blown him away started to retreat.
'Huh…? I don't understand why she did not capitalise on this opportunity. Is she out of mana and she is taking this opportunity to disengage.'
Finn did not chase the enemy who did not finish him off, he started to fire of his spells at the tier 1 mages as there were no tier 2 mages around him.
"Michael, I think we might have underestimated the resolve of the royals who are joining this battle. They are even willing to use their trump card artifacts to show off their ability, the lady that just retreated might become the next Monarch and become Queen."
Joana explained as people had already guessed the reason why the royals decided to join the war.
The battle raged on forward, there were no signs of the reinforcement that were supposed to have arrived at this time.
In this rate the forces form Arin would have to retreat and try to breach position 1-010 another time because the casualties on both sides were starting to get unsustainable.
"""HUH?"""
There was a collective inquisitive 'huh' in the minds of the mages from Arin and some very astute human soldiers, all of these people all looked toward the walls of the bunker position of position 1-010.
They were particularly all looking at the [Explosive Flux Cannons] that were all packed on those walls, those artifacts that had been ravaging their regular human troops had stopped firing.
These artifacts might have been a nightmare for the regular troops but it was not so for the mages, even the tier 1 mages could survive those artifacts if they are careful.
However those hundreds of artifacts were starting to give the mages in the battlefield some feeling of threat and that feeling was starting to get worse by the second.
Joana looked around the battlefield.
"Don't try Joana, there is not enough time to escape."
Michael said with some heavy melancholy as he looked at the mages who were starting to feel heavy despair.
That was especially so amongst the tier 2 mages who thought that the slightly higher survival rate amongst tier 2 mages compared to tier 1 mages might make them survive the war.
"But Michael!!"
Joana complained with tears in her eyes, Joana might not be the most beautiful women, but he sight of her with tears in her eyes gave her a charm.
"Hahh…"
Michael breathed out a deep breath and took out a box from his pocket.
"I was going to ask you to marry me when the war ended, I felt asking you before might jinx it, but I guess that did not matter in the end."
Explained Michael as he opened the box which held a beautiful ring he took out and put in on the ring finger of Joana, tears were flowing from the eyes of the two veterans.
"I would have said yes… You idiot!"
As she said that Joana quickly kissed Michael on the lips and hugged him which showed her stance in this situation.
Finn was trying his best to keep the despair that had been filling his heart from making him loose his sanity, he just looked at his friends confess their love to each other on the battlefield.
"How unique you two."
Finn said that with a small voice.
Then it happened.

Grey together with team 6 and many other mages who were idling and did not have missions in FOB number 03 were about to reach position 1-010, Grey could also see the petite Lt Qila Stein with team 9.
"When we get there we will immediately join the battle! The battle this time will be big, fight enemies in your tier if you don't want to die a quick death!"
Captain Hadley April gave last minute orders as she led the mages from FOB number 03 towards position 1-010.
'What is this feeling I am having.'
Grey was thinking of his spell choices for a long drawn out battle when he felt that something wrong.
Grey immediately turned to look at Bon who had better intuition than him.
The fellow was completely pale which was something that did not happen often, which told him things were worse than what he initially thought with his intuition.
Grey took a small glance at Captain Hadley, and she did not look happy at all, her face was very severe.
'We going to another messed up situation, aren't we.'
Grey internally commented as the open area in front of position 1-010 came to view.
However before they could get closer, they were all blinded by a powerful white light which made all them stop at the same time.
BOOOOOOMMMM!!! BOOOOOMMMM!!! BOOOOOOMMMM!!!
A large noise followed after the blinding light, some people had their ears burst but most mages protected their ears using normal mana.
After the light was gone they were greeted by multiple mushroom shaped dust clouds in the places where the battle should have been happening.
No person said anything for a long time, the feeling of death could never feel so close to the people who watching the mushroom shaped dust clouds.
'This power? What type of being did this?'
That was on every person's mind.
